He's a free agent after the 2011 offseason. I wonder when the trade talks will begin.

too pricey....cheaper options out there. I don't think they will consider trading him until the middle of the season. Only if they are out of the race though.....what kind of message are you sending to Hanley and the fans if you trade him now?

Good point. I do think they will give Hanley a nice big extension though. He's an elite player in the league. JJ is young and really talented, but Felix is better and is still the 2nd best pitcher on the possible trading block. However...he'll cost more than Halladay because he's only 23.

i highly doubt the marlins would trade him to someone in their division...

What fans?Have you seen their stadium.Not sure there is more tahn 5 or 6 K there on a daily basis.

I don't understand the reasoning for building a new stadium. Unless the Dolphins are kicking them out...a new stadium for the Marlins is ridiculous. Just because it will have a retractable roof, doesn't mean more people will go see them.

Yes It does! I live in Miami and live 5 mins of Dolphins Stadium.

That place is horrible for baseball.

Once the new stadium is built i will be there rooting my MIAMI MARLINS on baby !!

I have also been to the stadium area many times and it is a bad baseball stadium but I don't sense there is that much Marlin interest anyway.I guess we will see.

the lease runs out and the dolphins dont want to renew it for long term so its either they build a stadium or move.. so they built them a stadium.. no other city offered to build them a stadium... so what do you want them to do.. plus you have to realize companies will be more inclined to purchase suits when the stadium will be located just mins from downtown

I always thought that Florida does a great job selling their talent and restocking the shelves to make a nice run.  If they trade JJ believe me they got top notch talent in return.  This organization is very well run from the top to the bottom.  I just wish that they had better fan support.  It is a joke how little they appreciate such a good organization.  Well that is my two cents.

Just heard on XM radio that rumors are starting about the Marlins listening to offers for Hanley and Josh.Denied by team mgmt. I am inclined to believe the team as they are preparing for a new stadium and I am sure would not want to alienate any potential new fans
