Ken Griffey the kid is back

Sad to watch the greats deteriorate and wear down over time.  Even miserable to watch some players go out in embarassing fashion a la Patrick Ewing with his 8 minutes per game with the Magic.

But this is one player I do not mind coming back.  Was a pleasure to grow up watching Griffey, and he truly loves the game.  Just watching the last home game of the season, where you could see him crying on the field during the game with thoughts of it being his last game.

Glad he is back, but this has to be his last year.  Hopefully he can club 20-25 more homeruns and leave with his head held high

Can't help but think of Willie Mays awful last season when I read that Griffey is coming back...I hope I'm wrong, but I'm basing it on what I had seen this year...IF he devotes himself to off season conditioning, then he just may have a positive swan song

This can't be good news for Mariners fans. If he comes back as a bench player, that's fine, but if he's back playing everyday and hitting cleanup again (and especially if Beltre leaves), it's going to be a long season in the Pacific Northwest...

Griffey is one of the greats.  Every homerun he ever hit that is his greatness and not like these players that are all juiced up and cheapen the game.  Griffey is everthing that is so great about baseball.
