***WORLD SERIES GAME 2 BIG PLAY***

Question

I dont post much baseball or bet it but I think this is a good bet that I have made. I believed that if the Phillies could win the 1st game in the World Series, they would win it all. So with Pedro Martinez on the mound they will win game 2 & should win the World Series in 5 games. I really like the Phillies in game 2.

BOL but NYY win tonight. People forget that NYY has been perhaps the most resilient team in baseball this year, especially the playoffs. They will not lose two in a row in their home regardless of the pitching matchup.

Here&#x27;s the key to the game that nobody is talking about...The line is PHI &#x2B;171 because Pedro is starting and the opponent is the Yankees, the most over inflated team line wise you could possibly bet in baseball.IF Pedro gives up a few early runs, it will not be the death of the Phillies, remember Happ and Myers lurk in the pen, both of which are starters.  So if Manuel has a quick trigger, which I believe he will, then all the sudden Phillies backers may be down a 2-3 runs with a very good pitcher in Happ on the hill.  And remember Burnett is very capable of giving up atleast 3 runs over 6 innings, and that to me would be a good start for him.  We all know what happens whens he bad...See 1st inning of his last start = 4 runs before ever recording an out.Phillies = easy play, based purely on value and situation.And oh yeah, the Yankees bullpen sux right, exept for Mariano who will probably have to pitch 2 innings tonight if the Yanks have a lead.

The Phillies are last years World Series champions &amp; they have gotten no respect from the odds makers on that. Imo, being last years champ &amp; being an underdog is a slap in the face &amp; the Phillies will win the World Series with authority!

I couldnt belive this line when I saw it +180 with my book. I had a large play on the phils last night I couldnt believe the value I was getting with the best pitcher in the playoffs. After watching Pedro pitch last game against the Dodgers I truly believe he can hold the Yanks to just a couple runs and the Phils should be all over Burnett tonight.

This will be a pretty big play for me as well. BOL

Oh and I also have a bunch on the Phils to win the WS at +170. Thank you linemakers

Pedro will not hold the yankees to a couple of runs. Pedro is not anywhere near where he was 5 years ago and his outing vs. the Dodgers is a misleading factor for many of you. His FB is flat and in the coldness of NYC he will not have many more options up to serve it up.. Pedro lasts less then 4 innings tonight as the Yankess jump on him early and often...

Both are very resilient I agree.  They likely would not have made it this far if they were not.  That being said, NYY just seems to have this incredible mojo about them where they instantly strike back whenever they are down.  I have watched every game this entire post-season and it has been uncanny their composture.  I just would be shocked if they didn&#x27;t win today.  BOL!
