Since there has been so many discussions about "terrible" calls, I suggest that each team be allowed 3 appeal chances ala the NFL.
Instead of timeouts, your appeal chances are counted for you or against you. The umps have been horrendous all year and this will show these pompous idiots that they are wrong quite a bit. If you challenge and are correct you keep your appeal chance. If wrong, you give it up. These are to be used towards fair/foul home run appeals also. How many calls would have been overturned last night alone?? Changes the image of the game. And please don't talk to me about the sanctity of the game, because if that was the case, they would use the same ball for the whole game and the players would leave their gloves next to the base at the end of the inning.
