Haha, I am a huge Tigers fan and I have a hard time seeing them pulling this one out. That dome is a house of horrors and this team is in disarray.
I agree with that statement. I was reading some posts in the DET message board and everyone there was saying how they cannot wait for the dome to be closed down. DET can win but I don't think they will.
I have to tell you DTher85 you are consistently the most rational DET fan in the bunch. You consistently leave your homerness (if a word... LOL) at the door. This season myself I have bet twice if not three times as much against the Twins I have in favor of them. If you know your team well enough you know when to fade them.
If the Twins lose it will be a mistake on their part that DET took advantage of and it can happen of course in baseball. But you have to be crazy to bet against MIN today. Everyone is caught up in the DET value bet here. I don't get it. +150 isn't enough for me to fade this Twins in this spot. They were in the exact same place last year and lost a heart breaker due to their inability to have timely hitting. Moreau himself hit into two inning ending double plays with runners on 1 and 3 and no outs.
This team knows what it is like to lose this game and if MIN plays true to their form and Gardy manages like he normally does MIN score early and doesn't look back. Could this be a close game? Perhaps but I could see DET giving up before MIN. BOL on whatever you play and either way this will be a fun game.
Plus if DET does manage to win I will be going against my character and rooting for them to take down the Yankees and hopefully winning it all. Despite how much I HATE and I mean HATE division rivals these guys have my respect for at minimum playing with class. That beaning incident could have gotten ugly with emotions as high as it was but it didn't happen. Everyone restrained themselves and that is pure class.

I agree with that statement in that most playoff games are under money. Look at last year's play-in the final was 1-0. Personally I hope MIN wins 20-0 and I don't have to sweat it out but I know I will not be that lucky. I too lean under but with my future bets on MIN to win the division I have more than enough on this game. BOL!

Thanks for the kind words. Anyone who dismisses anything I have to say about the Tigers because they think I am a homer is only hurting themselves. Who here has watched more Tigers games than me? Not many, if any.
Just look at the matchups, Detroit is overmatched in almost every category; Offense: Twins, its a shit lineup but right now it's producing much better than Detroit Defense: Twins, they are always consistently built on defense. Detroits outfield is just plain awful when it comes to defense, even Curtis Granderson has been struggling which is almost unheard of. Starting Pitching: The pitching is relatively close and I cannot give an edge to either side. Relief Pitching: Twins have the advantage in this department, they have the better closer as well. Managing: Twins, Gardenhire is one of the best managers in baseball, how he has not left the Twins for a huge payday is baffling.
This is how I am breaking down the game and the way I look at it the Twins have a decisive advantage in tonight's game. The Tigers played down the stretch like they wanted the Twins to lose the division rather than the Tigers wanting to win it.
