Good work last night. I guess you could put that Pittsburgh game in the anti-moose column, since the kid lasted just an inning. Great night for the Pirates bullpen.

Game,

DET- CWS - Edwin Jackson has been astounding on the road this season
and overall. On the road, he has an incredible 1.31 ERA in 41 1/3
innings having allowed just 30 hits and 6 earned runs with a 30:7 K:BB
ratio. In his L2 starts, he has thrown 17 innings and allowed just 6
hits and 1 earned run with a 12:2 K:BB ratio. Meanwhile, Gavin Floyd is
hitting his best stride by far. In his L4 starts he has tossed 29 2/3
innings and allowed just 18 hits and 6 earned runs (1.82 ERA) with a
31:8 K:BB ratio. He sports a 3.00 home ERA (almost 5 runs better than
the road).
Minn-Oak - Blackburn is hitting his best stride and the Twinkies
finally face a right hander. Slight lean to the Twins, but Cahill is
interesting. Cahill had 2 horrendous starts, If you remove those two
games, in his other 10 starts, he has never allowed more than 2 earned
runs. In those 10 starts, he has thrown 61 1/3 innings and allowed 52
hits and 17 earned runs (2.48 ERA). His peripheral numbers aren't too
impressive with just 32 K's and 26 walks in 66 1/3 innings but he is
getting the job done. In his L4 starts, he has thrown 25 innings and
allowed 21 hits and 8 earned runs (2.88 ERA) with a 18:4 K:BB ratio.
Blackburn is very similar to Cahill in that his peripheral numbers are
not impressive with just 34 strikeouts in 76 1/3 innings. However, in
his L4 starts he has thrown 27 innings and allowed 25 hits and 4
earned runs (1.33 ERA). In addition, he has excelled in day games
having thrown 40 2/3 innings this year during the day with a 2.21 ERA.
In fact, prior to this season, Blackburn had a 3.05 day game ERA almost
1 3/4 runs better than his night ERA.

Gamehunter, did you have a lean on the stl/fla under? The cards are only hitting 2.35 vs lefties and 3.8 runs per game. Hanley and cantu are doubtful for the fish. @ 9 runs am i missing something?

The only thing that scares me is that the Cards finally woke up last night and dropped 13 on the Fish. Lean towards the under though as I often fade the Cards against lefties.

I know his last two outings have been a little rough, but that kid can flat out pitch! GL with your Cleveland pick though Great pitching or not you never know when the Royals are going to leave their bats at home

I really like Nats U today and at 9 EV seems like steal but I am a little nervous about the fact it seems like more are on the U and yet the price for the O is staying level or going up. Any thoughts?

Not sure how much it would matter to you but I am seeing no schumaker, duncan ,molina for cards.

HEY GH isnt if sad after a few years of doing this now that you still have to put that lil disclaimer up there when u bifurcate on a game...
and the fact that people actually even care what your record is just absolutely makes me sick to my stomach, i dont think i ever once have payed any attention to what ur season W-L is
GL today and take the yanks as always

I know it's the Yanks and I know they have to beat the Sox sometime this year and I know they have Sabathia tonite. But the Red Sox -1.5 is +264. Dont you just have to throw half a unit or so at it? I mean it is the Red Sox at Fenway after all.
