Penguins team whining

I honestly have never seen one team cry as much as Pittsburgh has in there post game press conferences.

Therrien whining
Crosby whining
Talbot whining

I'm sure there was more, but i had to stop watching.

I just saw Therrien interview. very interesting if Fleury were to get hit.
Would that be diving. Of course not. Osgood flops and is a good actor.

Obstruction was every other word. So be prepared to be in the box all game Detroit.

Detroit plays great positional hockey. That is why they don't give up leads to often.

Can you imagine if the WINGS PP exploded.

The comments were reminiscent of last season, when Ottawa Senators coach Bryan Murray, in the midst of watching his team being eaten alive by the Anaheim Ducks, complained that the Ducks were holding them up. All that did was rationalize the Ottawa players' failure to compete.

I forgot about that 1st game.

Any edge they can get they will try and WINGS will get more penalties on Wednesday.

Crosby says Detroit hasn't had too many more opportunities then the Pens. They have been outshot 70 - 41.

Obstruction and Positon is 2 different things. They don't realize it, also when they are up in a game how did they hold leads.  

Therrien is getting outcoached bottom line. He shakes up his forward lines but not defense. Keep sitting Sydor you moron. Gill and Scuderi are both - 3 so far.  

Wow… a lot of mudslinging in this forum (and this is usually not the case in the NHL forum, at least in respect to other forums).

 

I have been watching as a neutral observer…. I didn’t bet on the final series….

 

And, as a Ducks fan, I don’t care who wins…. But I have to say that the Wings are simply the better team here.

 

For all of you Pens fans… don’t worry… barring any MAJOR fuckup by the management, the Penguins will raise the cup within the next few years.

They have the talent and are gaining the experience to do so.

 

But the wings are just simply too good to beat this season.

 

This is their season and they ARE the best team.

 

They almost look like they are 6 on 5 all the time because they are connecting on passes tape to tape and have too much depth.

 

The Pens deserve respect, however, and are the future team… just wait and see.

 

Crosby, Malkin and company will hoist the cup soon… just not this year.

 

Be patient Penguin’s fans…. You will get there.

 

In the meantime… Hockeytown lives up to its name.

We are bit hot, well at least I am with that ending but will not say a word the rest of these playoffs. 

This Pens team will be good in the future no doubt. 

Sharks will own you all next year, without a doubt. :)

Good Luck to you but we still have to win 2 games to win the Cup. Season isn't over yet. 

What Therien calls OBSTRUCTION is simply solid defense by the ENTIRE Red Wings squad.This guy is at a total loss as to what to do with this Big Red Machine.The Penguins tried to stir the shit at the end of last nights game but nobody buying it!

Pitts has a really good hockey team but its just not their year.Det takes this thing in 5!

you are a respectable NHL poster and have been for a long time... my point was that the Pens and their fans need to admit that the Wings are playing LIGHTS OUT brilliant puck right now and all throughout the playoffs I have seen a lot of arguing about whose team is better than this team or that team and it seems like it is more prevalent in the Hockey Forum than in years past ....

 

As far as the Penguins go, there is nothing to be ashamed of because DET would beat ANY team right now.... they are a talented team who are also playing HOT and, on top of that, are creating opportunities and capitalizing on them. There is no shame in losing to a team like that! 

I remember hearing all of the talk about my Ducks last year getting “lucky bounces” and “all of the calls” and winning the Cup by chance rather than pure skill and great play and it WAS frustrating.

Let’s just face it folks…. Like it or not, the best team is playing their best hockey and is two wins away from taking the Cup… granted, anything can happen and that’s why they play the whole series, but I just gotta tip my hat to the Wings…. They are doing it with style and integrity.

 

And, whether my favorite team is in it or not, I simply LOVE watching playoff hockey… best sport out there!!!

 

Detroit is as good as it gets.  Now the Question is not "will the guins win at home?", but "will they score a goal?"

Either way this still beats the #$%@ out of the nba playoffs.

Detroit has DOMINATED play so far. The Penguins have been beat in every aspect of the game so they should shut up with the whining, especially Therrien as he has been severely outcoached. This Big Red Machine, is just that, a machine. They are skating all around the little Pens and look like they have a ton more energy.

Although Detroit looks to have a beat on the cup, this series isn't over yet and a series never really starts until a team wins a road game. Detroit took care of home ice and now it is essential that Pittsburgh does the same or they are done for sure.

Crosby is right about the scoring chances though, they have been pretty even although Detroit has capitalized on theirs and then played the trap the rest of the way after they got those 2 goal leads so they haven't really needed to create many more, although I'm sure they could have.

I don't like teams whining but the Pens do have a point with Osgood, it's the second time he's taken an obvious pathetic dive. The bigger concern for Pittsburgh is Malkin looking like another soft ass Euro. Ever since the Flyers started roughing him up in the last series he has just been awful. He looks lazy and lethargic out there, he is not competing at all, he is shying away from contact by trying to be cute, he's not winning any battles at all on the boards, and he has no business taking a faceoff as he may be the worst ever. He's making the decision on which players the Pens will keep for future years a lot easier.

Detroit has dominated so far and deserve all the credit but the series is not over. Therrien and the Pens need to stop crying and get 'er done on home ice or they are toast.

At least they are not a SAF loser that can't stay away.

I'm not a fan of either of these teams, but I love hockey.  Having said that, I was really looking forward to a better series than I've witnessed so far.  The Wings total domination have made this series borderline boring.  The Pens look confused, frustrated and unsure of themselves.  I thought the skill level on their team would make up for their lack of experience.  I even backed them in both games thinking they might take one   Anyway, I hope they make a series of it by winning at home but I have a hard time seeing that happen.  The Wings are looking unbeatable.

After the first game the Pens thought it was them playing bad and not the Wings playing well. In the second game they were proven the opposite and got frustrated. First time they faced real adversity they got easily frustrated. They really couldnt find a way to break through the neutral zone in the way the used to do

Btw, what do you thik of that line for game 3 Lippsman . Opening at Pens -140 ?
