PHI @ PIT: Grudge match. Round 6 of 8. Wow, the Phlyers drop 2 in a row to TOR, blow a 3rd per lead against the struggling Bruins and los Hatcher AGAIN in the process. These guys really don't want to play in the post season. TSN has Hossa, Sykora, and Talbot as probable. Pitt probably wails on the useless Phlyers even though they're getting a little bit healthy and Pit is likely starting the biggest waste of a draft pick in recent memory in the net. I expect no less than 3 Phlyer goals but then they should give away 4-7. Pick PIT, O6.
BOS @ WAS: Obviously the Caps _should_ win this. They _should have_ won their last meeting but any jackass who tells you WAS is going to win 1-0 (which they tried to do) is full of $HIT. I don't think they'll be trying that strategy again today. Pick WAS.
OTT @ CAR: BUF finally showed us all that the emperor has no clothes. I don't know how the scrub Canes will react to their first official drubbing. OTT has recently jumped on their horse riding up toward the top of the east. With CAR's slate of cushy southLeast opponents on deck I can't see them busting ass over the Sens. Pick OTT.
DET @ CBJ: While the Wings have played fairly well a large portion of their recent success is directly attributable to the zebras' prejudiced perceptions. Whether the refs are cashing tickets at the window isn't all that relevant. The NHL is trying to build the image of the Wings as a national franchise that will draw viewers in the playoffs. The problem with that is it usually builds a team up to the point of overconfidence and they get knocked out in the first or second round. That sound like the Wings to you? While years past would have seen me fade the Jack-Its hard in a situation like this, tonight has Hasek in his first game off the injury OR a no-rest Osgood (which has been anything but good for the Wings). Wings had their little run to secure the Pres Cup, now it's their turn to make the rest of their division look as if they actually play hockey for a living. Note: 10-12SU vs the Central Div IS NOT A WINNING RECORD. Pick CBJ.
CAL @ CHI: 6-4 loss to ATL!?! is all I can say. CHI is only playing when they've been grinding the axe (note the crushing of the Jack-Its). CAL has been one of the streakiest teams in the league. Will they stem their skid at 2 or slide into 3 straight losses? Are they looking ahead to their NW Div games against COL and MIN next week? Geee, YA THINK? Gotta like the Hawks here even though the road team has won each of the last 5 meetings.
ATL @ FLA: How the hell are the Pants pushing this much chalk? ATL +1.5, anyone, anyone?
EDM @ SJ: How hot are these two teams right now? Shrex are in a serious groove and there's no reason they shouldn't take a bite outta the Oil...except that the last time these teams met was the beginning of a nice long losing streak for the Shrex. However, that was without Patrick Marleau. Much like many teams, they can't win 1 of 5 without their cap'n. These are just kids, afterall. I do believe the Shrex make it 12 tonight.

I would stay the fuck away from the Thrashers +3 today.. I saw that chalk too and believe me or not its there for a reason . Most likely a shutout. Take the under if anything

Good insight you and I seem be the only ones who like the Hawks today. I'm going to parlay the Hawks-1 with Hou Rockets -3.5...U gotta love the streak!! BOL today

probably worth a shot @ +145. Mickey Redman's comments during the Preds game leads me to believe that since they have made the playoffs, Babcock will be looking more to keep his top player injury free than run up some useless regular season record.
