First off, congrats to the Hawks and the Bruins for making this an O 6 cup. The two hottest teams are here and Chi with the NHL's best record feels the call of destiny. Pretty good goal tending, not great though, and a pretty good D have at times compensated for the spectacular offense being a bit less than spectacular. Crawford is vulnerable to goals scored in traffic and Chi not great at moving forwards out of the front. I see this as a weakness for Chi and actually expect a decent amount of Bruins goals as the Bs play throw it in and get your ass to the net hockey. Bs defenseman, including Krug, have wicked shots and this is another Crawford weakness. Bs will get scores from their D.
Now to the Hawks, they are very talented offensively and their D often gets deep passes to set up open shots. Tuukka stops those well. But Chi will beat our overly aggressive or our slow defenseman for 2/1 and you will see Chi capitlaize there as well as doing at least OK on their potent power play. Boston will eradicate the front of the net so Chi will be streaking in for timely passes or rebounds rather than camping.
Look for hard fought games and different styles. Expect some high scoring affairs at times and also some 2-1 or 1-0 like games depending on the ebb and flow.
I think Boston wins the cup in 6. A game 7 obviously favors the home team but I'll take the great hockey and enjoy the crap out of it.
