This is the first game and pre competition is often irrelevant
My first bet will be canada vs germany under 7.5 (small play)

Canada has not shown any manor offensive talent so far playing rather inconsistently and undisciplined, while it is unlikely Germany will get anything going offensively against a solid d.
Prediction 4-1 canada
I wouldnt take the spread (-5) too risky

Secondly since this is the first day of the tournament, it is hard to get a true sense of each team right away, therefore i will be posting more and more picks and the tournament goes on

GL man, have same pick too, and Germany +5.5

Germans rep comes from years ago, that hockey program is accelerating rapidly. They will surprise a lot of ppl this year. You know the sayin...don't ever underestimate the Germans.

A latvia team that is on a back to back agaisnt a medium strength team in the swiss. Latvia will have trouble scoring goals agaisnt a disciplined and solid swiss d, and i cant see swiss scoring more goals than finaldn today (5-1). Therefore i will be taking the under 7 or 7.5. Again this is Switzerland first game so it should be a small play.

0-2 so far have had a bit of a tough ime judging the teams
One play tomorrow or rather this morning

Slovakia +4.5

Slovaks played it out tight with a high powered russian offense
With only first line production from canada, i see a low scorer. Keep in mind canadas d is not yet reached their potential either with germany scoring a scary 3 on them. Canada will win but take the points

Overa record in juniors is now 1-2 and will only be getting better as i get more familiar with the teams
My play tomoro is not locked in yet but will most likely be

Russia -4.5
