#6 Posted: 6/22/2012 2:51:45 PM I think Luongo will stay where he is. Who in the hell would pick up a contract like that. |

"Bob" had decent numbers with the Flyers. WHO is going to backup Brysgalov?

#8 Posted: 6/22/2012 3:10:23 PM don't know what's up with Jordan Staal BUT he passed on a long term contract with the Penguins. speculation is he wants to join his brother Eric after next season
from The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Bob Rossi and Josh Yohe >>> http://triblive.com/sports/penguins/2073498-85/staal-penguins-jordan-contract-brother-center-offer-shero-team-agent
Dave Molinari of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the "hots" for trades going into the draft @ CEC this weekend are forwards Rick Nash (Columbus) and Bobby Ryan (Anaheim), defenseman Jay Bouwmeester (Calgary) and goalie Roberto Lungo (Vancouver).

I agree with Lippsman about 'Bobby Lou". WHO wants to pick up THAT contract?

#9 Posted: 6/22/2012 3:33:33 PM I saw the Staal rumor as well. Thing that sucks for the Pens is it looks like he won't agree to a deal with a team he would potentially be traded to. Which makes you wonder what Pitt. could get for him.
Wild GM Chuck Fletcher was the one who lobbied for the Anaheimers to draft Bobby Ryan, but I don't think MN will give up enough of the young talent they have accumulated to get him.
2 guys I would love the Wild to draft: Griffin Reinhart or Matt Dumba (I think they will be gone).
Guy I think the Wild will draft: Morgan Rielly
Guy I think the Wild COULD draft: Jacob Trouba

#16 Posted: 6/22/2012 6:04:21 PM Howson's been a terrible GM, but he'd instantly reach Mike Milbury status if Yakupov somehow fell to 2 and he passed on him.

Yakupov to the Oilers @ #1. talking of an "All #1" line of Hall, Nugent-Hopkins and Yakupov next season BUT there IS some talk about him going to the KHL because Igor Larionov IS his agent and he has strong ties to the KHL |

#18 Posted: 6/22/2012 8:27:56 PM Penguins Jordan Staal to Hurricanes announced during the draft. my Pennies get forward Brandon Sutter, defenceman Ryan Dumoulin and the 8th pick wihich they used to select puck moving D-man Derrick Pouliot who is supposed to be another Kris LeTang.
helps the Pittsburgh "cap space" and hopefully Sutter can cover as #3 center. also heats up talk that the Pens may now be in the Zach Parise sweepstake |

yes. saw that today and also rumors that they might ship his D partner Paul Martin. I'm think that Ray Shero and Danny Bylsma think that "big body" D man Simon Despres will be ready to step up next season and possably Alex Picard too. BOTH played well last season in their games with the Pens. Despres was 1 G 3 A and a +5 in 18 games with Picard 0 4 and a +4 in 17.
I guess the Predators retained Shea Weber for now with a $7.5 million one year for next season according to http://capgeek.com/players/display.php?id=1042. he's the REAL "prize defensman" other teams would like to get. |
