rangers are in deep deep trouble IMO, if you watched wednesday's game they got a second wind and carried the play BUT every one of their goals was sketchy, any legitimate scoring chance they had was turned back by brodeur...

then there's the fatigue factor, both sides have been thru a meatgrinder but tortorella is trying to get it done with 4 D and with any kind of a hard forecheck at this stage you can just see how those guys are runnin on fumes...

their only hope IMO is lundqvist who absolutely has to stand on his head, could happen but i don't see it, the air went out of their balloon when they couldn't complete the miracle game 5 comeback...

all comes down to Lundqvist vs Brodeur just like in 1994 with Mike Richter vs Brodeur. it can happen for the Rangers BUT it will be tough

one HUGE difference this time, the Rangers swept the Islanders 1st round then beat the Capitals 4-1 in the 2nd. THIS year they had to go 7 with BOTH the Senators and Capitals. they have looked very "ragged out" at times in this series.

Due to lack of offensive punch the Rags have relied on a rope-a-dope style of play where getting the lead is very important. NJ has shown that if you attack and hammer them early the Rags knees begin to buckle and now the Rags have allowed 4 and 5 goals in thier L-2 games. The NYR are 19 games into the playoffs and have yet to play a dominent game... it's all been on the ropes.

Now with Lundqvist unable to stop early blows I believe that NJ will deliver a knockout in the Rags 20th playoff game.

For the Rags to have ANY chance they are going to have find some weak spots on NJ early in game 6 and score a few early goals then have Lundqvist block every punch for two consecutive games... I don't think the Rags have the ability or the endurance to defend themselves any further.

The 3rd period of game 6 could be NJ's to dance and toy with these Rags while they relax knowing the fight is thiers.

I also believe that game 6 goes Over-4.5 with NJ winning by the PL.

The Rangers might not win 2 in a row, but they can win 1.

Last time in this series NYR lost at home then played @NJY, they won 3-0.

All fans of the NHL know when Henrik has a bad game, look out the next game.  He will go crazy in game 6.  Whatever he has to do, he will.  Plus, the Rangers have been playing like shit all post-season.  They look tired.  That all changed after they got down 3-0 in game 5.  All of a sudden they got their legs back.  Their second wind.  They played their best hockey since the regular season.  Unfortunately, they missed a man coming off the bench, Girardi had his stick in the air, and the Devils scored late.  It happens.

Lundquist should make the guarantee this year.  Because the Devils ain't scoring.
