Sabres winners of 3 of last 5, both losses came in OT.....8-3-3 last 14 and miller seems to be on points. Ducks playing well too, 6-2-2 last 10, but played BTB just 1 day ago and lookied it losing to avs 4-1......Sabres coming in tonight on 4 days rest, Ducks get home after HUGE road swing to play with kids and bang thier wives for only one night, back to rink.
Buff getting nice (but expexted) value here at +130....starting to like this.

I find it weird when folks refer to teams as 6-2-2 in their last 10 rather than 6-4. I know you're not really cheating to prove your point as they are technically 6-2-2, but if we all agree you can't really cap OT or shootouts, then you're calling them 6-2-2 to point out that 2 of their 4 losses were essentially just "luck" losses because they were in OT. Well, what of the 3 wins in that group of 6 that were also OT? Were they not equally lucky?
They're 3-3 in regulation in their last 10 and the rest were OT games. Their competition was stiff in that stretch, so good on them. I don't think your hunch here is all that bad.
On the flip side, if we agree Anaheim was tired having played 3 in 4 and the last on the road, we agree that hurt them in Colorado. But since they had a day off and were rolling before that loss, any reason not to say they've been playing as well or better and just got screwed by the schedule their last time out?
I think this line is fair personally. I think Anaheim probably does win this game 60% of the time.

interesting article in The Buffalo News (ref: https://www.buffalonews.com/incoming/article744127.ece). it says "Miller laments the loss of Gaustad". seems that Ryan Miller and recently traded Paul Gaustad were good buddies and it appears that he thought trading Gaustad was a mistake because he was their prime faceoff man and penalty killer.
will it effect Miller's goal play?
