HOT OFF THE WIRE - that little prick gets THREE GAMES! LOL Right on Shanny. What a PR mess for the Habs. Hopefully the lame ass Montreal police that wanted to arrest Chara will now put out an arrest warrant (yeah, right). LOVE IT when the hypocrites take it up the tailpipe!!

BTW, most fans in Montreal beleive suspension of Pacioretty was warranted.

Given this is a gambling forum I probably shouldn't get involved in this..hehe...but

Now that's nothing truly comical  if you really wanna go there.

As for Pacioretty/PR mess, around here people think a suspension was warranted..he apologized after the hit and will accept the ruling as I'm sure will the organization which is the proper thing to do. If you feel headshots are a problem then you have to be straight up when one of your players commits a foul, which is one of the issues with discipline in the league. Generally everyone wants something done until it's their player who is in the wrong.

but explain to me why Lucic or Malone get no suspensions for their head shots?

You might have just gotten Jack Edwards to announce the suspension. Keep drinking the Bruins koolaid. Chara and Lucic are head hunter  criminals, Max Pac deserved to be suspended 1-2 games yes, but he doesn't have any rap sheet or history of this like implied. You want headshots of any kind taken out of the game. He didn't stick his elbow out blatantly, and seemed remorseful when he went to the bench, Get your facts straight!

The NHL is becoming soft as baby shit. Chara doesn't get suspended for almost breaking a guys neck. Lucic doesn't get suspended for blatantly taking a run at a goaltender when he had plenty of time to get out of the way. Pacioretty gets suspended for laying a guy out with his head down. Scott Stevens was a hero for laying out hits like this his whole career. The game is strictly getting too fast they need to go to international ice

yeah i wonder if bruins fan will cry if a no name hit thomas like lucic hit miller.

Anyway just syaing this league cant keep track and be fair with their suspensions.

"Patches" intentionally tried to hurt another player.. It's hockey, deal with it, but please stop calling the Police on a friggin hockey hit.. Downright embarassing

my only point was Maxy was the biggest whiner about headshots, then he does it himself. That's what sucked balls.  As for Lucic and Chara, never said they were innocent ":)

From an opposing fans perspective, I can understand that point of view actually. I'm not defending Max's hit, but my point is there's a lot of hypocrisy that comes out of Boston as well.

The Bruins and the fans whined and made a huge deal out of the Cooke-Savard affair and went on and on saying he should have received a lengthy suspension for that, yet within a season you had Paille blindsiding Sawada, and when that suspension came down the Bruins complained it was too long. Julien himself  used the onus  is on the players to not put themselves in dangerous positions line. Then you had Marchand elbowing that guy in the head and getting suspended not long after that, not to mention several other incidents if you go back into their history.

Then there was the nonsense about accusing Pac of embellishing his injury because he was at the movies, yet when Horton was flying around the continent and going to Stanley Cup hockey games after his concussion he was lauded as a hero.


So that was my point about hypocrisy and I guess on same level we are still fans and sensitive to rivalries. As far as I'm concerned though in this forum the enemy here should be the bookmaker.

Letang himself said Pacioretty wasn't trying to hurt him and isn't a dirty player. He had his head down. But I don't care who it is on any team, the head shots have to be taken out of the game.

I am obviously a Penguins fan BUT I thought Crosby should have gotten a game or at least a fine, for his "elbow", which looked more like a butt end, on Nick Foligno in that Senators game last Friday. IF the league doesn't also discipline top players for dirty play, it's a joke. Ovechkin has been running people since he came into the league and I don't think he's ever been suspended.
