I honestly don't see how they even come close to this number, it should take some time for Hiller to shake off the rust after missing the second half of last season. Not too mention they are completely toast if they lose Getzlaf, Perry or Ryan for any amount of time. They are one of the thinnest team in the NHL this year, any rash of injuries and they are in trouble. The Geritol line of Blake (38), Koivu (36) and Selanne (41) will be dead in the second half of the season with their schedule. Not only do the Ducks have to start the season in Europe but then they have to play 15 games over 29 days in February which includes a 9 game 14 day road trip. Between their brutal schedule and age they should have an abysmal February, March and April. Basically as long as they don't get off to a red hot start, I think this should hit with ease.

Thoughts?

I don't want to jinx this but I am really excited about the start the Ducks have gotten off to. If they can keep this pace thier schedule in the 2nd half will kill them.

17 games in and they are on pace for 73 points. 22.5 points shy of what I need them to finish with.

GULP.... about the only thing that could make me nervous was this..... Look at what Boudreau did after taking over the capitals in 2007-2008.

Before Bruce was there 6-14-1 compling 13 points in 21 games..... After Bruce was there 37-17-7 compling 81 points in 61 games

Ducks currently on pace for 62 points...... How much can Bruce close the gap???

with the recent win streak I am starting to get a little nervous..... this maybe closer then I ever antcipated..... Febuary will tell all their schedule this month is brutual..... hopefully their dream of making the playoffs gets squashed.
