First off, major props to the Bruins. They hit us in the fucking mouth all series. Yes I will refer to myself as a fan as one of the Flyers, "us." Sue me.
For the last 15 years or so Flyers' fans complaints have been goaltending oriented, and for good reason. But make no mistake. That was not the ultimate difference in this series. The Bruins flat out just whooped our asses. Faceoffs. Defense. Physicality. We got smacked around...straight up.
Obviously we missed Pronger. We saw the kind of spark he added when he came in against Buffalo. But still...where was Mike Richards? Where is the hardnosed Flyers hockey that involves driving the net slamming into people and screening? Non existent in my eyes. Just dissapointing...but I do have some solace in the fact that Boston was the better team. Had we lost to Buffalo it would be a different story. There is plenty more to add but I'm too mad right now to be able to explain it.
