Pennies defiantely need to close out Sat @ CEC. that "seeing eye goal" from Jimmy Neal was "money from home". I was VERY sceptical of the Pennies chances in this years playoffs BUT Flower and the D are starting to make me a believer. 
btw, I'm also an MSU football and hockey fan. worked for an air charter company in Lansing 1974 thru the summer of 1975 and did a lot of flying for the alumni assoc and the athletic dept.
was at the 1974 Ohio State @ Michigan State game which is STILL one of the greatest upsets in NCAA football history. both East Lansing AND Lansing went NUTS!!! GM had to shut down the Oldsmobile plant monday because NO ONE was sober enough to WORK!!!
most recent "great MSU moment" for me is the Spartans 2007 NCAA hockey tourney upset win as a 50-1 underdog. they just squeeked into the tourney as the lowest "at large" seed BUT Tim Kennedy, Justin Abdelkader, Chris Mueller and esp goalie Jeff "The Little" Lerg beat Boston Univ, Notre Dame, Maine and finally #1 overall seed Boston College for the championship. GREAT win for Rick Comley (who departed this season) and the program AND profitable for me. sometimes it's pays to just be a dumbass FAN!!! 
Even without Crosby and Malkin the Penguins can play with and are capable of beating anyone in the east.
