He was grabbing Reboundo Luongo last night to pose for pics with him, congratulating him and then this article.I am sure that impressed Luongo who can root for Brodeur after The Nucks gets bounced from the playoffs early again
Winning the gold made it all OK for Martin Brodeur.
Benched by
Canada after a loss to the United States, the Devils goalie said it was
difficult to watch the Olympics rather than participate.
But "It's not a big deal because we won the whole thing," Brodeur said today, according to NJ.com.
Roberto Luongo took over from Brodeur and was in nets for Canada's gold-medal-winning overtime victory over the USA on Sunday.
"Looking
back at it, you go through these things in your career and you have to
adjust," Brodeur told writer Rich Chere. "Being part of a winning
organization (Team Canada) is always really rewarding. I didn't know
how I was going to react, but I really got into it. It was fun to see
some of these young guys doing well."
Brodeur practiced with the Devils this morning in San Jose, Calif.,
less than 12 hours after accepting his second gold medal. He was the
winning goaltender in 2002.
"When you don't play, you don't feel
as much a part of the team," Brodeur said. "I really embraced them as
much as I could because I thought that was the right thing to do, but
when you participate in winning something it's a lot different than
when you're just the 'best man' of the hockey club to tap the guys on
the butt when you go onto the ice."

UMM, he did. Are all Americans this stupid or what?
This is the first big game Luongo won in his career. He only was on the winning team because of this team's superior play. NOT his superior play. Who is stupid?

"We were all here for one thing, and that was to bring home the
gold. It took different people at different times, but we got there,"
Brodeur said.
As for Luongo, the one-time Islander who mishandled
a number of shots Sunday and has long had the reputation of not being
at his best in big games, Brodeur said, "He deserves it. Playing in a
big game, being able to come through, it's nice for him."

Nope, but you have proven, sad as it is, that at least one Canadian is stupid as hell. I'd be happy to donate $$$ toward a bus ticket out of the country. Are you old enough to travel without your parents?

Witty. Especially from someone who's Allbutbroke. Don't offer bus tickets you can't afford. Wish I could take that comment back but it sure seems many people south of the border watched a different tournament.

c'mon stop he said he would like to take it back. i have 2 guys from the usa that personally attacked canada - not about the game. so let us say for now the stupidity score is 2-1 for usa. not a good distinction. he said he would take it back so that is now 2-0 usa for ignorant comments
