Hi guys, 

I have been posting picks at covers from time to time during the previous season, but it wasn't as serious as I would like it to be...

So, I am making this thread here because the environment is very friendly as I can see... I know that nowadays, after the start of the league, the covers NHL forum is "spammed" by everyone's pick threads as everyone is keen on cappin' this sport. But this time I am pretty serious about what I am doing, I hope i won't end this after a week or so.

Also, I won't make new threads every day I bet. I'll post my daily picks just in this one single thread.

My aim is to pick games in a disciplined, objective, solid way. I know it is hard to do so, especially when I can't watch the majority of games due to my timezone, but I hope I will do my best and I will turn out at least a small profit in the long run. Another thing I want to accomplish is working on my skills and improving. Simple as that.

That's being enough for the introduction, I want to wish you all a profitable NHL season, and let's get it started. :)

Overall: 2-1-0, +1.78 Units

Today's Plays:

Philladelphia Flyers Reg Time.+134 1.5 Units
Calgary Flames Reg. Time, Even 2 Units
Min. Wild Reg. Time, +142 1.5 Units

Also leanin' on Tampa Bay and maybe OTT.
Any opinions?

Yes, maybe I made too many bets, but I like everyone of them, more or less, depengind on the odds. I think at least a couple of them have a nice value. I will be happy if I hit at least 3.

Ok guys, yesteradys results are 2-3-0, bad enough for -0.92 units:
  • Philladelphia Flyers Reg Time.+134 1.5 Units (Philly Won in OT)

  • Calgary Flames Reg. Time, Even 2 Units

  • Min. Wild Reg. Time, +142 1.5 Units (Minny won in OT)

  • Tampa bay Lightning ML +141.00 1 Unit 

  •  Ottawa ML +108 1 Unit
Although my result is as poor as 2-3, I don't feel that bad, since I picked 5/4 team winners, and Tampa just lost a lottery in a shootout. Just took some bad lines because of those very attractive odds.
I think I should  choose a litle bit safer bets, for example like Min or Phil ML instead of reg. time. And today's results would have been different. The odds are still okay and I give myself an even bigger chance to win. So from now on  I will try to just do that. Hopefully it will work out. :)

Overall: 4-4-0, +0.86 Units.

Nice calls last night Exotic. If you read into the stats you will find that your choices were solid and unfortunate at the same time. Calgary was a solid pick and Minny took 2 periods to wake up. Philly and Wash was a great game to watch and won in OT. Keep up the solid capping, i think you will win in the long run. Happy hunting. I am big on Vancouver tonight -1.80 and even -1.5. BOL

Unfortunately I'm on the different side today, mainly for value and a lot of unanswered questions in Vancouver. Yes, IMO Van is the better team, but I liked how the Habs played against the Flames. Nucks have to handle lots of pressure. I see a couple of reasons more, but I wont write any write-ups until I show stable and solid pforit (of course if I am able to at all) .
