Can someone explain what puckline is briefly. i dont understand what the (-1.5) and (+1.5). i would imagine it would have something to do with winnig by 2 or more or something.

That's correct. Like baseball, the spread in hockey is always 1.5 goals. The favorite is -1.5, the dog is +1.5. For the favorite to cover, they need to win by 2 or more. For the dog to cover they need to lose by 1, or win outright. The only thing that changes is the juice on the line. Favorites usually come at a nice payout on the PL, while dogs are usually very juicy.
