Hey everyone!
It's hard to believe that the 2008-2009 NHL season is here.
So I know we had a few contests in the forum last season that everyone seemed to enjoy and I was thinking about running a new one for this year.
The contest would be you pick your 1 best total from that days card along with the current juice posted at a particular sportsbook (everyone would have to use the same book, probably Pinny or 5Dimes will be used). I will keep track of Units won/lost and the poster with the most Units won at the end of the season wins the $100 prize and the bragging rights.
I am going to offer a winner take all prize of $100. This is going to be a free contest to enter and while the $100 is not alot of money as a first prize it's more for the bragging rights in the forum anyway.
Here is my only kicker....I am going to limit this to a very small number is posters in the forum (maybe around 20).
You basically must have been an active poster in the NHL forum from last season to enter. If you meet this single qualification please post in this thread that your in and I will add your name to the list of contestants.
My two reasons for this condition is I noticed last year that at the begining of the season there were tons of posters posting NHL plays and by November 1 70% of them were gone. I want to get the die-hard NHL posters into this contest so please only sign up if your going to stick it out for the full season.
And my second reason is I am willing to keep track of everyones plays and I just dont feel like having to do that with 100+ picks every night lol.
