Historically the Heat struggle game 1 (Lebron era) from the conference finals through the finals in these spots.  Spurs are very strong past few years ats game 1 after long rest in the playoffs.  There is clear and distinct edge for SA tonight.  Their best chance for a win on the road.  This is a must win game if they are serious about winning the championship.  This has more then just value, it is a great spot.

ECF for the Heat this year won 103-102 line was -8.5 and last year they won and covered against Boston 93-79.  I would have swore they lost game 1 last year.  Game 1 of the Finals last year they lost SU and ats.  Spurs since 1999 are 6-0 SU and 5-1 ats game 1 on 6+ days of rest in the playoffs.  I expected 5.5 on the open so the line feels like it is correct, don't think it's strong.  These stats are so small they don't mean much and was a long time ago but the bottom line is if SA hits over 40% they will win this game.  

The best thing SA has going for them game 1 is the moment won't be too big for them.  Many times teams come out with a dear in a headlights look when they've never been there, this won't be a problem.

ya you should look more at the right now than history and they way I see it Spurs had a reeeaally long lay off and are an old team. Heat were slow with the Bulls game 1 because they had such a long lay off. Miami had a few days off and will be on point for game 1.

P4P touche.  You make a good point, great spot was not the right word.  You keep hearing the media mention the time off so you can be rest assured it won't make an iota of difference, maybe the first quarter but won't decide the outcome.  I do think SA wins this series and they have to get game 1 because game 2 will be much harder to win.  They go down 2-0 and it's over, SA knows this to a man.

Oilers no real opinion on the total.  

This is not a huge play or a POM or POY nonsense.  Just a normal play where I find value.  I can't remember seeing this many play of the whatever in the playoffs in this forum.  The NBA forum has quickly turned into one of the worst at Covers, seemingly over night.

give it up - don't be surprise if heat win by 10+pts. spurs old fools needed 10day off - the king and wade went through a tough workout lastnight.

Time off in sports is a bad thing.  Every year this happens in all sports. you do not even need to know about that sport or team.  The press bring it up for a reason.  Heat roll.

I think SAN comes out strong in the 1st half and then MIA puts them away in the 2nd half.  Good luck!

Don't do it 165, i don't post much but i'm trying to warn people not to take Spurs today because i know people close to NBA and they had some interesting inside info..

this line would be 6 or 6.5 if they were begging for spurs $ i think its a fair line or even shaded to the heat b/c of lebron...true line should be 3.5 or 4 imo
