tonight in miami, the heat will try to advance to the finals, and i dont know......D wade is a shadow of himself as he struggles with that deep bone bruise to his knee....ray allen and shane battier are showing their age...chris bosch is showing he is too light in the a$$$ and doesnt have the length to defend hibbert.....chalmers will be what he always is.....steady, but unspectacular..haslem is a role player trying to be the 5th starter.....that brings me to king james..he was roundly challenged by d wade after game 6 to share the ball...i ask myself....with whom? with a damaged D wade?... with a chris bosch, who has beed shut down by the physically more impressive hibbert? with haslem?....maybe chalmers??....the sad truth is, this "team" has been reduced to one man due to huge matchup problems caused by the pacers...the public will be pounding the heat all day...i do think the heat pulls out a win, but i am thinking i will wait until right before tip and see where the line is, and PROBABLY take the pacers and the points..the pacers are just the more well rounded and balanced TEAM.....
on to the bases.... i like the following today, and the first 5 lines arent up yet....so i dont have lines, but i prefer all these FIRST 5, but if you dont have that option, i wouldnt mind playing them full game...
colrado at cinncy....im taking the rockies and young tyler chatwood...he has pitched his best away from coors and at +130 or so, i see value with him in this spot..its the same with the other plays..
justin masterson is coming of age...we can get him around +105 or +110 or you can take the ancient andy petit...petit will have some good outings and hasnt been bad this year, but this play is also a value play, getting the younger pitcher with good numbers at + money... take a deep breath ....and click houston +170.... i will risk a small play on erik bedard FIRST 5 ONLY against joe blanton and the angels... the halos are overvalued, especially with blanton on the hill, and bedard has actually been decent his last couple of starts...
i almost fell outta my chair when i saw that cahill is +135 at st louis.....i know how good the redbirds are, but to get a quality pitcher at this price is a steal...the line opened at +150 last night and i shoulda got down on it then, but i was waiting for the first 5..
i have strong leans to stults and the padres at the dodgers, the white sox and danks over seattle and the charcoal starter known as joe saunders..and in milwaukee, i want to play the first 5 OVER when i get a line..milone and estrada will be on the mound for their respective teams..thats it...good luck to all and lets BEAT THE MAN!!!
