greetings from the sty fellas, another stellar night last night from the barnyard gang, and i hope some of our fellow degenerates were on board last night to bring home the bacon...
..i err mean the green..
.. there were baseball winners galore as well as winners on team totals, i think coach had a hockey winner ( i dont pay much attention to that sport) we had the over in the miami game and most of the gang profited with a pacer win and cover....personally i was just loading up on in game overs, as i felt that was safer than a side, and i hit most of those, pushing on 190, and losing on over 195 1/2.....my 5 team funsies parlay missed with the pirates first 5 , my only loss of the 5.....some early thoughts on the early baseball games..
lets start in KC where jeremy guthrie returns home after three straight starts on the road, that saw his ERA "balloon" if you can call it that from the low 2s to almost 4.... he had a good start in baltimore, but was roughed up by the angels and astros....but now he is back on his home mound, where for the most part he has been lights out..he is opposed by billy buckner.... no, not that billy buckner..but another billy buck, a young pitcher who hasnt toed major league rubber since late may of 2010...i was shocked to see KC only a - 135 favorite full game and -130 full 5, probably due to guthrie's struggles the last 2 games..... but the number that stands out is KC +110 -1/2 run for first 5.... i am all over that. the halo bullpen is not very good and looks to pitch a number of innings today..
i am also on KC TT over, but my putrid site doesnt have the team totals up yet, so dont know the total, but im on the over for KC team total.
in seattle, king felix gets the nod to square off against derek holland. both hurlers are good, but the king is at a level the young holland has yet to achieve on a consistent basis.... the ranger bullpen has really put up solid numbers lately, while the mariner pen has struggled a bit... the price is right on the king at -125 for the first 5 and im grabbin it....also, hollands ERA at night is almost a run higher, while the king's ERA at night is almost a run lower...take the king the first 5 in seattle and lay the short number of -125...
i dont do this much, but i will also parlay KC full game at -135 with the king -125 for the first 5...
ok fellas....thats it for now. i will be back later with some other ideas after i poke my snout around in the mud a bit and sniff out a truffle or two!!!
