He had a great life through basketball and out of the spotlight....Loved to play cards and have conversations with those closest to him.....Very loyal and one of the top owners in sports history.......I'm sure it was great to have known him....Sad day......RIP............

Legendary and did it "his way".........Majic just had a great conversation on espn about what an owner he was,,,,,,Playing cards and pool to the we hours of the morning and getting into a list parties ..........This guy was a celebrity.......A star in the city of stars.......

Talk about living the life. Living in LA owning one of most successful franchises ever. Any sports enthusiasts dream to own a franchise. Had all the money and clearly enjoyed the benefits of it.

Had a beautiful 20 year old on his arm every day. The guy probably is the father of LA!

Today's news regarding Dr. Buss saddened me. Though I never met him, he seemed like a good guy from everything I saw and heard. He came across as down-to-earth and humble, especially for someone in his position... which is the way a (wise) person should be.

You guys are right, what an incredible life he must have lived in one of the most beautiful places in world.

R.I.P. Dr. Buss.

There should be more owners in sports that care like he did about his team and city...... He was about satisfying the Lakers fans and bringing championships to LA.......He gave back to the city and set the bar high on and of the court.......
