Record vs. Spread/ML: 76-70 (+6.65u) Record vs. O/U: 78-64 (+16.5u) Record vs. Parlay: 1-1 (+0.1u) ============================================================
4-3 yesterday for a +1.1 overall. Knicks gave up in the 4th quarter, the Magic gave up in the 2nd half, and the Wolves just couldn't handle the Spurs backups.
Only two games on the board tonight, but they are good ones!

#3 Posted: 2/7/2013 11:45:22 AM LA Lakers vs. Boston -
I capped this game out at Celtics -3 and a total of 190 with the injuries to Howard and Gasol. Vegas pretty much agrees with me except for the total, which seems a bit high to me at first glance. When these two teams play in Boston, they very rarely hit 190 points. Now you are taking away Rajon Rondo, Jared Sullinger, Pau Gasol, and Dwight Howard? After last night's win against the Raptors, the Celtics proved to me that they are not laying down without their superstar. It certainly looked at times that they were giving in to that game so that they could get to tonight. Unless the line goes crazy or something like that, I think the obvious play here is the Celtics and the UNDER. Home teams on Thursday do tend to struggle however.

Figured this game would end up around the Nuggets -5 to 6 and the total set around the 200 mark..and once again Vegas is pretty close to agreeing with me. Nuggets have been at home since January 24th, while the Bulls are just about done with their 6 game road trip. Nuggets have won every game on their homestand by an average of 12 points per game. If this game goes up to 7 it might be a little bit too much to chew...a win but no cover is possible. Biggest lean for me right now is the OVER...I just don't see how the Nuggets fail to get to 100 points at home right now...even against the Bulls. Noah and Boozer should be back for tonight's game, which will add a little bit of defense but more importantly more offense. Gotta keep an eye on the line for now, but enjoying the over right now.

#5 Posted: 2/7/2013 12:07:36 PM Celtics down to 1.5 now...interesting
Could be a 96-95 type of game to get the best of both worlds?

#7 Posted: 2/7/2013 12:25:50 PM Celtics play defense and without Pau and D-12, the Lakers won't. That makes me like BOS right out of the gate. LAL is atrocious on the defensive end this year without D-12.

#9 Posted: 2/7/2013 12:59:30 PM Boston on a B2B and traveled. Garnett and Pierce are old. There is a trap being set. Lakeshow wins this game guaranteed as they need it badly. |

#10 Posted: 2/7/2013 2:19:47 PM LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics UNDER 194 (1.1 to win 1)
No Pau Gasol, probably no Dwight Howard...limited offense for the Lakers. Slim mentioned how old the Celtics are, well the Lakers aren't that much younger and wouldn't a 9 day road trip so far be more physically demanding than a 2 hour flight from Toronto? And Pierce didn't even show up last night, despite playing 37 minutes. Every time these two play in Boston it's a lower scoring game. Only thing that worries me is that a majority of the money so far is on the UNDER...but the good thing is that the line has moved down a little bit.
Prediction: Celtics 95 Lakers 93

#11 Posted: 2/7/2013 2:23:18 PM Staying away from the spread in that one, as just about every book I've checked has 65-70% on the Celtics spread...and the line hasn't really moved at all. Best case scenario for Vegas is a 1 point Celtics win.

Tough to see these teams putting up 50 points in the first quarter of this one. Real tough, considering the Celtics generally start slow.

Don't over think it too much. The Fakers are on the tail end of a long road trek, so I'd think Boston is a good ML value here.
Personally, I'm on ASU -3.5

#25 Posted: 2/7/2013 4:12:39 PM Boston Celtics ML (1.2 to win 1)
Just gotta trust the instincts. Celtics win this one, then the Lakers struggle against Charlotte, come back with a big win on Sunday. That's how I see it happening. Celtics need to push the pace a little bit and hope to catch the Lakers napping. Backcourt pressure for the Celtics will be huge...if Avery Bradley can hound Kobe enough they should be fine.
