Washington Wizards +2
The Wizards are not as bad as their 0-5 record thus far.
They have been in every game all the way till the final buzzer. Their lineup is
getting comfortable playing with each other and without John Wall. Their
offense has struggled shooting the ball, but the Bobcats come in allowing
opponents to shoot almost 50% from the field. This is a good spot for them to
get their first win of the season.
The Bobcats are coming off an overtime win against the Mavs
on Saturday thanks in large part to their 21 offensive rebounds. The Mavs were
dead last in opponent offensive rebounds coming into that game. The Bobcats
will not be so fortunate against the Wizards who are good on the defensive boards.
Sacramento Kings -2.5 (2*)
Portland’s starting 5 have been playing heavy minutes this
year with Batum and Aldridge top 10 in the league in minutes per game and Lillard
and Matthews also in the top 15 in minutes. This is their 3rd game
in 4 days and their fatigue started to show in the 4th quarter of
last night’s game. Blazers’ defense has also struggled all year allowing
opponents to shoot at 49.8% from the field which is 2nd worst only
The Kings are without Demarcus Cousins, but they have been
better off without him this year. He has the 2nd worst plus-minus on
their roster only slightly better than James Johnson. The Kings are one of the
top teams in the league in pace this game and they should be able to take
advantage of the Blazer’s fatigue.
Brooklyn Nets -6 (2*)
This is the final game of a long road trip for the Cavs
until they get 3 days offs before their next game. I’m not sure they have much
left in the tank when looking forward to their 3 day break. They have given up
over 100 points in every game this season and have the worst opponent shooting
percentage in the league.
The Nets have been a halfcourt team this year and the Cavs
should not pose much of an opposition to their offense tonight.
Toronto is coming off a triple overtime loss last night
where DeRozen played 60 minutes. The Pacers offense has been poor to start the
season without Danny Granger only averaging 90.4 points and shooting 41% so far
