#1 Posted: 7/11/2012 4:49:27 PM your prob going to end up looking like this ...
Deron JJ Wallace Hump Lopez
Bench: Evans Stackhouse Taylor Brooks Tetelovich, and who ever else they sign in FA.
Still a playoff team so its a plus... not getting Dwight is a bummer but Billy King did the right thing couldn't afford to lose both Lopez and Dwight.

#3 Posted: 7/11/2012 7:23:12 PM Dwight should of never opted in this past Spring
D12 brought this on himself...so now Orlando will trade him probably to a team that he does not want to be with....even if it is LA...he is on the record that he did not want to be there (No matter what the media says and reports)
I think he really and truly wanted to stay far away from giving the appearance that he aspires to follow in Shaq's career footsteps
1) Superman..
2) played in orlando...
3) went to finals with orlando and loss....
4) goes to lakers.....play with kobe....
5) kobe drama with the dominant low post guy - whose the man?
etc...etc...etc...
Not to mention that he think he has other reasons why he just didn't want to be there
Even if he is traded there.....I think he will play a reduced season just like D Rose (due to injury-rehab)....and @ end of season get the heck out of dodge. |

#4 Posted: 7/11/2012 8:01:47 PM I think DH opts in for one reason - his back surgery. What happen if the surgery is worse than anticipated like Manning. Then he would be screw because no team will sign him for a year. So by opting in, he has a year to recover while getting paid and then sign a lucrative contract next year. So IMO, I think he did the right thing. |

#6 Posted: 7/11/2012 9:28:00 PM @ct1016,
you are writing so much bullshit it is unbelievable. How do you know what Howard wants and what not? Only a Heat Bandwagon Fan can come up with something stupid like the 5 points above. And don't worry about Kobe. The biggest drama Queen in the game is still the Queen himself. |

#7 Posted: 7/11/2012 9:35:03 PM Did you read Phil Jackson's book?
He said Kobe was 'uncoachable'
That was a joke. (lol)
But months ago....D Howard revealed and the media reported that he did NOT want to play with LA
If you follow the NBA...you should have noticed that he is apprehensive about the whole SHAQ- D12 comparisons
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots that if he goes to LA the media will go crazy with the analogies of the Shaq and D12 career symmetries
Do I need to go and link all this stuff to this thread.....yes I posted 20% opinion...but the rest was not B/S....it can be traced to quotes and actual articles by the media
including the Phil Jackson comment about 'uncoachable' |

Let's compare drama queen with drama kome
drama queen
1) agrees with ESPN to air his decision where he will be playing and give millons of dollars to charity as a result; yes it was a public divorce from the cavs....he did it in a way that he later apologized for....he moved on...haters couldn't move on
2) At the miami heat PEP RALLY with all their fans, friends and family...promise the heat they will win multiple titles.....non heat fans took this as a threat and him being DRAMA... ...what player doesn't promise their fans championshipS
3) He had a nickname...King James...I think the nickname is drama???
4) His games been televised by ESPN since HS....and he has been hyped up since HS....is this his doing....but for the sake of this thread ...I guess that is drama too
Kome queen
1) Phil Jackson tells him to not shooting so much jumpshots in the 2004 finals...Kobe responds by taking jumper after jumper after jumper.....not going inside to their advantage with Shaq....they lose to the Pistons
* Phil Jackson writes the book --and has a section in their that at times kobe is uncoachable
2) On a couple of occassions Phil tells Kobe to move the ball more.....Kobe responds in the next game by not shooting the ball @ all for an extended period of time....even the media noticed this 'over-DRAMA- reaction
3) See Kobe Bryant drama press conferences....yes he tells you what he feels -- whether it is being cold with the media...or calling out teammates....to me, it is drama
4) See Denver Colorado - rape allegation...I know this was proven to be false.....but when police questioned kobe....he said maybe I should of paid her like Shaq pays his women....police go to florida (miami heat) and interview shaq.....not much longer after that....shaq and his wife divorce
5) Kobe tells his wife that Gasol is cheating on his girlfriend....Kobe's wife then goes and tells Gasol's long time girlfriend about Gasol's cheating ways......she leaves Gasol....Gasol can't snap out of it....and never gets into the playoffs last year
6) See Kobe - Shaq drama.....somebody has to go - bye Shaq
7) See teammates constantly asking for more touches to the media....hey guys just go to kobe and ask for the ball...stop talking thru the media
I had fun with some of these comments....but LBJ is clearly the better teammate...and not as dramatic as the black mamba has been in his career to-date |

#11 Posted: 7/12/2012 10:14:13 AM Heat have the team focused on one thing and that is to win championships. Of course, things are going gravy right now because they are actually winning championships. If they were going to lose in the finals this year to OKC, then their attitudes would change and you will see a very different type of team coming next year.

#12 Posted: 7/12/2012 10:15:54 AM Nets have went from a championship caliber team to barely making it to the playoffs. JJohnson is a great addition but they lost a load of players. If Lopez plays the year in 100% health, then Nets can stand a chance. However, I can't see this team get past NYKnicks, Boston and the Heat.

the nets have 0 shot of outperforming the Knicks next year without Dwight. That Gerald Wallace trade last was awful and you have no bench. Nets will get the 7th seed

#17 Posted: 7/13/2012 6:30:17 PM The Nets trade would have been disastrous for Orlando. Could you imagine 4yrs at $60m. Thats crippling to a franchise. I have some respect for Hennigans for not giving into this fool. If he is to be traded it has to be for expiring contracts and draft picks and not 4 irrelevant late first rounders.
Dwight absolutely has to go. He quit on his team and abandoned them in playoffs. Bad back my behind. He payed with a cracked sternum in 2007 playoffs. |

#18 Posted: 7/14/2012 8:24:01 AM Enter Houston Rockets....this may be the team that gives Orlando what they are looking for
And DH will be following the other great rocket centers (Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and I will say Yao Ming)
Houston (and Kevin McHale) does believe in having a dominant guy in the paint
Should be interesting |

#19 Posted: 7/14/2012 2:40:09 PM DH is perhaps one of the biggest mental patients in sports. The whole comment about the blackmail thing was just preposterous. The trade me, trade me not, trade me etc., is like the little girl picking apart flower pedals while saying "he loves me, he loves me not."
Orlando as a franchise seems cursed to me. They have been blessed with enormously talented players and coaches, Shaq, Howard, Grant Hill & T-Mac in their primes, and even Penny Hardaway was an all star. garbage, they even had Doc Rivers, who is considered one of the top coaches. Nothing to show for it, a couple Finals appearances was nice, but overall they just dont get it done.
Granted, they havent been getting unbeleivable offers for DH and time is running out. They should have pulled the trigger with the Nets unless they know the Rockets have something more tangible. In the end, I think he stays put and walks. |

#20 Posted: 7/14/2012 4:06:34 PM I was hoping his back would be so bad, that he ends up retiring and soon thereafter broke. All with a smile on his face like he often does after bricking free throws.
Only ten years from now to have ESPN do a documentary on him and what could've been. |

And making an one hour commercial on espn just to anounce where the drama Queen goes. What a joke this freak show was.He has made a clown of himself like never before a player did.
And the behaviour against the Mavs was such a disgrace that every basketball fan was happy the Mavs punched the big three clowns in their big mouth.
And instead of earning a ring he decided to take the easy way and buy a ring. And you can say about Kobe what you want, but he will retire as a Laker. And Queen James will retire as the biggest person in nba. |

In your 2nd response to me now you are saying LBJ "behavior" was unacceptable to AGREE with espn to run a special that millons of dollars went to charity
and he is more DRAMA than kobe b/c he promised something to his fans..@ a PEP RALLY that all pros promise....c'mon man...who doesn't promise ships....what are players playing for besides the $$$ $$$.....they are playing for the ships.
His behavior against the Mavs was what? He got the heat to the finals one year early than expected...noone thought the heat could get to the finals last year...they beat the #1 seed bulls and a strong Celtics team...that many felt they would lose to.......Yes the Mavs whooped up on the heat....back door sweep (smh)....but thats a credit to the Mavs...not the fault of LBJ....what behavior was so d.r.a.m.a.t.i.c.
Now my previous post "about your boy" now...that to me is drama.
Kobe always keeps us entertained....and trust me, I stopped with those few that I listed.
Is Kobe an awesome player....ABSOLUTELY
but to me....he has had more on court - off court drama than LBJ
We all are entitled to our own opinions....You see through LBJ and see something that I do not see
And I see through KOME and see something that you are not seeing and that the media is giving him a pass on |
