I have been saying this for years. How does George Karl have an NBA job?

I did not bet this game, so this is not sour grapes whatsoever.  George Karl came to Denver in 2004, and his PLAYOFF record with them before tonight was 19 and 33 for a paltry 36.5%.  And he lost in the FIRST ROUND 6 out of those 7 years with some solid teams. 

I say he is an awful coach, but some will point to the roster upheaval this year.  That argument rings hollow, as Nate McMillan was unjustiably fired at Portland and was doing a BRILLIANT job with their new, injury-riddled roster YEAR AFTER YEAR. 

If Denver loses tonight, and it appears they will, that will make it 7 of 8 years that the Nuggets could not even make it past the first round.  That is pathetic, and Karl should IMMEDIATELY be fired after the game if they lose.  And his replacement should be a proven, young coach like Nate McMillan.

I do not understand why the sports media gives Karl a pass.  He is easily one of the worst coaches in the history of the NBA when you look at his resume, yet his job security never seems to be an issue.

On a side note, as Magic Johnson inferred, I also think Mike Brown should be fired if they exit in the first round.  If you lose a game 7 at home to a loser coach like Karl, you should also IMMEDIATELY be replaced. 

 I wouldn't say Karl is a moron, but he does suck as a coach.

I would love to hear the counterpoints on why Karl even deserves to be coaching the Nuggets.  Morons would have no good answers to this quesrtion. 

If I was the GM, he definitely needs to win this game tonight and the next round to save a job where he has done poorly.  It would be too hard to fire him if he gets past the first 2 opponents.

So basically you are saying Nuggets fans should be happy every year they make the playoffs, even if they consistently cannot get past the first round.  What are your excuses for all the previous abysmal playoff years?  Talk about low expectations and moronic thinking.  Losers like yourself make excuses for everything and completely ignore his resume.   

LOL!  Another POOR argument by you.  Now you are blaming his losses on the Lakers.  I do not know how many times the Lakers knocked him out in the first round, but you are proving my point if you are correct. 

 Do better in the regular season and quit underachieving, and you will not have to keep playing the elite teams in the first round.   

Denver overachieved on the season and as a big underdog took the Lakers to the brink of elimination. For that he should be fired? What kind of logic is that?

And all those years where they've failed to get past the first round, it's not like they were going into the playoffs as huge favorites either. Just look at the teams that's won it all from the West during all those times.

If Denver would finish better in the regular season, they would not have to keep facing elite teams in the first round.  Are you saying when he had Carmelo Anthony and many other good players that they did well just to get in the playoffs as a lower seeded team?
