Blazers +4.5 (-105) to win 20 units and Blazers ML (+171) to win 10 units
Blazers had over 2 days off to get ready for the Clippers but laid a complete egg on the road. I have noticed that the Blazers tend to play like junk off of long rest on the road. They get a chance to redeem themselves in a huge divisional game today against the Thunder who lost their first game of the year yesterday. The Blazers will be hungry and they match up well with the Thunder. Unlike last year with Andre Miller at point the Blazers now have a quick point guard in Felton. He'll contain Westbrook. The Blazers also have atheltic defenders in Gerald Wallace and Wesley Matthews that can defend Harden and Durant and score the ball. Downlow the Blazers are physical with Aldridge and Camby which will serve them well with the Thunder playing their 6th game in 8 nights and 3rd game in 4 nights.
Hawks +10 (-107) to win 15 units
Going with a public dog here. I really believe the Hawks have improved a lot this season. People keep dumping on their bench but i actually think it's more than decent with Zaza, T-Mac, and some leaders in Green and Stackhouse and Pargo who won't turn the ball over. Teague and Smith have improved from last season and the Hawks are making a statement to the East that they are ready to contend this year. After beating the Heat many are expecting a let down. However, that was a huge win for them and I just think that the fact that none of their starters played more than 40 minutes yesterday they will have enough in the tank for this one. Last week the Hawks played 4 games in 5 nights and played a stinker against the Rockets. This week in the same situation they will be up for a big game with the Bulls team without Watson and with a banged up Hamilton, who beat them last year in the postseason.
Bucks - Jazz Over 185.5 (-107) to win 20 units
Before the Bucks and Jazz played yesterday this total was at 191. The books opened it again at 185 after those teams played Under the total yesterday. The Bucks D is never impressive on the road. They played in the high altitude in Denver last night and are now playing in the high altitude in Utah again tonight. After their starters played a lot they won't have a ton of energy for the defensive end, but they should have no problem scoring against Utah. The Jazz don't play good D as they allowed the pathetic Hornets offense to score 90 on them in a b2b situation. The Bucks have a better offense than the Hornets so I think they can break 93 tonight. The Jazz at home have a deep bench that can score on a tired Bucks squad tonight so I like them to break 93 as well. 93+93 > 185.5 so we'll go Over with the public pumping the Under.
