Supposedly (take it with a grain of salt because I can't really say where I heard it), the players are meeting in Miami tomorrow along with a few agents to speak with Billy Hunter. They will be proposing an idea--find an investment bank to get high net worth investors to start a players' league. 10 team/10 players each, nothing as enormous as the NBA, but could accelerate some progress. This could take away from the 100% leverage advantage the owners currently possess and help reach an agreement sooner.
Again, I'm not discussing the logistics or chances that this kind of a league will actually be formed, what I'm saying is that the players and their agents are starting to think outside the box, attempting to gain some leverage in this situation.
