Group A Turkey v Great Britain +8.5 141.5
Something's not right with this line. Great Britain did had a good
showing against Lithuania with Luol Deng leading with 25 points. They
were playing to the tooth against Lithuania until they were hounded in
the 4th and couldn't come back in time. Turkey showed great ball
movement and were really confident in their stroke finishing the game
with 51% in FG shooting totally outclassing the lesser Portugal team.
Both teams are pretty even in most position but Turkey has slight edge in the 4 and 5 position with Asik and Kanter leading the way. It will be up to Turkoglu to mark and limit Deng in this game. The Play: Turkey -8.5
Poland +15.5 v Lithuania 155.5
Lithuania isn't in good form in their past match. Great Britain even
pushed them hard in their opener. Poland is in high confidence at the
moment and didn't allow Spain to pour in the points on them. I
underestimated Poland's front court without Gortat but they can really
bang and rebound against the bigger and stronger Spanish front court. I
think they have a great shot at Lithuania here. Poland will hang in
there till the last buzzer like they played Spain, teams like that are
very good to bet on specially if they are getting double digit in
points. The Play: Poland +15.5
Portugal +30.5 v Spain 150.5 Spain had a sub par game against Poland even to the point of threatening them late in the game. Make no mistake here, they are still a great team with so much fire power in every position. Portugal is by far still having trouble with their offense. They had a hard time scoring against the bigger players of Turkey and was horrendous from the field making only 33% of their field goals. This should be another beating but asking for Spain who plays more by setting up and capitalizing with their front court should eat up a lot of time off the clock. No play here. Portugal will probably be limited to as little at 45-55 points and Spain will get to 80 easy with not much to go against their big men. I say it's an easy 120-130 points it looks safe but in Euro games they don't let up when they are up by so much late in the game so it is probably dangerous to get on the UNDER 150.5.

Serbia, on the other hand, have to get over the opening game jitters en route to a win over the sweet shooting Italians. Veteran Janis Blums of Latvia carried the scoring load with a tournament high 32 points but it shouldn't be the case when they play Serbia who can really tighten it up in the perimeter and make it hard for guards to score. I think 15.5 is a right up there and so we have to play the total here. Latvia shot the lights out from behind the arc making 11 of 23 3-pointers that allowed them the cover against France. Serbia's length and defense will most likely cut it down as they only allowed 2 makes out of 17 of Italy, which mostly consist of 3-pointers. Two wagers here. The Play: Serbia -15.5 and UNDER 154.5

The good thing is that they are very aggressive in attacking the rim which is good and they take care of the ball really well. Greece will have to rely on their back court for some scoring and exploit their size if they want a win and cover against the speedy Finnish team. The Play: Finland +15.5 F.Y.R. of Macedonia +8.0 v Croatia 147.5 Macedonia will need to execute better with their offense if they want to get a chance here. Georgia +8.5 v Russia 148.5 Russia didn't had an easy time as they were expected to against Ukraine yesterday. They were terrible in offense and had a hard time looking for places to get their points. They were supposed to have a better showing with their front court but they were a bust. AK47 would need to get a lot more help from anywhere he can to salvage a win yesterday. Georgie had an easy going against one against Belgium but what is impressive is that they are very tenacious, they play very hard and with a lot of intensity. Looking forward to that very same thing as they go up against Russia. The Play: Georgia +8.5

If they can keep the same defensive intensity on the perimeter like they did against Russia, they can actually take Slovenia down. Ukraine can guard the Slovenian front court and pretty much contain them like what Georgia did. Ukraine only allowed Russia to 29% in 3-points made and if Georgia limited Slovenia to 11% I think UK has a really good shot here. Points will be a little hard to come by for Ukraine and they will probably slow things down and focus on their half court sets. I think this one will be close. The Play: Ukraine +10.5
