Carmelo is a stand up guy. He isn't going to surprise the franchise that supported him for 7 years like that third wheel on that southern team.
The Magic need to move Pietrus, Lewis, Bass and more to take it to the next level because what they have clearly isn't working nor is it good enough to win a championship. Also, the Nuggets are a decent squad without Melo and those players would make them a 6th or 7th place team in the west no doubt.
The Bulls. Wow. I presume Carmelo wants to win now just like his 2003 draft class buddies. He sees the light. He knows that his future and his career is in his hands now. Passing up 3yrs/65 million dollars is a big fucking statement. He wants to win and wants to win now. Rose, Brewer, Melo, Boozer, Noah. No question that would be the best lineup in the NBA and that is considering the Heat lineup. Ofcourse its highly unlikely that this will occur thats why the Bulls weren't included in this thread's title.
They need to hurry up and make the damn move though. We all know its coming. Lets get it done. I'm glad the silly trade for D. Favors is out of the question now. Why would you bring in a rookie that hasn't showed signs of a bright (superstar) future for the player thats tied with Durant for scoring the easiest in the league.
Other teams that can potentially land Melo in my opinion are Dallas and New York.
But if Melo wants to win now he will go to Orlando.
