If I would have to pick a team and wager on them on any afternoon games, then I'd pick the Raptors. I don't know why but I always notice that the stars aligned by their side and get them either a cover or the SU win. I know Atlanta looked themselves their last two games and was in control of both games. I'm also aware that the Hawks is currently better on the road than they are at home. I also noticed that the Hawks matches and plays well when against the Raptors. The Toronto Raptors +1.0 play here is more of my gut play which has been hitting well as of late. No idea with the total. It's all about who controls the game. If Atlanta is in control of this game and is on its way to a 3rd win then this afternoon game will definitely go UNDER. But if it were to go OVER, Toronto is to call the tempo of the game and thrive on their fast offense.
I like the UNDER 205.5 in the Detroit game. The Knicks should still be tired and not cope with the 2nd afternoon game in a row. Detroit is rested and just had a good overall game against the Bucks. Both teams are a combined 11-6-0 over under home/road record which should say a lot but on an afternoon game and matchup shows 7 unders in 10 games. As for the side, I like Detroit -1.5 at home here. Knicks looked tired running the floor against the Hawks plus the Pistons plays well against running teams this season.
We were on the crazy amount of ML on the Hornets when both teams last played each other. Spurs' streak finally ended against the Mavericks while the Hornets came home from a disappointing road travel. They are perfect at home with a 7-0 card going against a perfect 6-0 road team in the Spurs. I love the San Antonio Spurs +1.0 in this spot. I see revenge here for the Spurs not to mention that they always play well against the Hornets. I think they'll pull through on this one now that they finally had their offensive system working well. New Orleans leave for OK City the next day so possible look ahead if ever they would. As for the total, it's an easy UNDER 194.5. New Orleans control the tempo of the game but will fall short in the last quarter. Should have a pace of the NOH@LAC game, fast and high in the early going till they cool down and keep it tight in the 4th.
Utah Jazz -6.0 blow out the Clippers here. Griffin and Gordon scores 50+ for the Clippers but the Jazz' defense will milk them with Turnovers. Clippers is a young team and momentum will be both their best and worst friend. If they had one game today, they'd more or less carry over the momentum in the next. I think that's the main reason why they can't get much consistency going for them. The only fear I have for the Jazz is if they'll have a let down after a good win against the defending champion.
As much as I'd like to bet on the Rockets, I think they really suck now until they get Brooks back. Until then, they're on my fade list. Sorry KD, but i'm riding on the Westbrook Express! Oklahoma City Thunders -2.0 here for me.
No play for the Nets and the Blazers game. I like the Blazers but they are on a slump their last 10 games and the Nets will stay competitive but I don't see them making a tremendous jump from last year. Getting Avery Johnson is a big plus though.
Indiana Pacers +8.5 / ML here. I think I remember seeing something like this script from the Lakers before. They opened as a short fave (3 or less) the night before, get the L and play a decent team as a 8 or more point fave and not cover or something would even go and lose the game SU.
Earlier this season they are -3 against Denver then lost again the next day as a 8-point fave against the Suns. Last season 4/11 and 4/13, Lost both ATS as 3-point fave against the Blazers and didn't cover against the Kings as an 8-point fave. 3/12 and 3/15, they covered as -2 against the Suns but didn't the next game against the Warriors at -8.5. But this is just me probably brewing up some more conspiracies.
What do you think fellas?
BOL.
