Lebron to the Bulls +1000

I was staying out this freakin circus and was not even going to watch the gong show tonight....

.... but quickly browsed the odds, cuz i am degenerate and shocked to see:

knicks +250, cavs, +150, heat -1000, bulls +1000.

Odds on the heat have suddenly become very steep because espn has plastered speculative headlines all over their website. 

Bulls have suddenly been forgotten, for no reason other than unsubstantiated media specualtion!

Chicago has more pieces in place right now than Miami, and Wades presence and shadow is way bigger in Miami than Jordans shadow is from over a decade ago.  In fact, winning in chicago will contribute to chicago becoming a "dynasty" type franchise putting the bulls in rare company with boston and the lakers, only adding to Lebrons legacy if he wins multiple titles there, NOT hurting it.   

The Chicago Bulls logo is an internationally recognized logo because of Jordan, even more so than the Knicks (yes, my own unsubstantiated opinion).  Everyone one has seen jordan in his bulls jersey, everyone in the world knows what the logo looks like.

Everyone keeps talking about how New York is such a huge media market, but Chicago is no small potato. 

Lebron goes to anyone but the Heat in my opinion. 

Great value on Bulls +1000.

fuck, that's a good number, but I am not calling this a lock by any means and not going crazy betting on this....

 i just think it is good value to  I am risking a small amount to win just 1 unit, so not really worth it to open a new account just for that bet....

I took 19-1 but I feel even that is low. Sure it's POSSIBLE but I think it should be closer to 30-1 at this pt.

You know oddsmaking as well as anyone around here, why do you think it should be 30-1? 

There has been NO evidence confirming lebron to the heat other than pure speculation. 

In fact, all this crap we are reading is a perfect smokescreen to announce he is staying with the cavs, or going to the bulls/knicks.   

Odds on the bulls should be the same as the odds on the knicks.  Given the logical evidence for all the teams, a small bet on the bulls is worth the risk considering the odds imo. (Thats why I think +1000 is generous)

To me, it seems like the only way he would of went to Chicago is if he was able to bring Bosh with him. The possibility of him STILL going to Chicago despite Bosh being in Miami seems really unlikely to me. I took the +1900 as a hedge on my other bets but I am not sure the value is there.

With that being said, I agree on the POSSIBILITY of a smokescreen as shown by my other threads, but I just don't think it would be to the Bulls.

Regardless a few cities will be pissed tonight

Cleveland as they think he should remain loyal

NY as they have thought for 2  years he was going there

Miami since all day thats been the ESPN reports that its a done deal

EVERYONE outside of Heat fans are going to HATE him now.

me too....i just went with anywhere other than Miami for +125 to be on the safe side.  Miami just doesn't make enough sense for me when you have Chicago (better team) and NY.  Why would the best player in the league (after Kobe) want to team up with another star when he's only 25.  That's a move that players like A.I./Shaq/Malone etc make when they are at the end of their career. They all want to be the man!

It's a solid bet because at this point there is nothing that would really SURPRISE people.  However I do disagree with the statement of Jordan's shadow in Chicago being less than that of Wade in Miami.  Miami is all about what's new and fresh...which LeBron would be.
