Tonight I know the story, Deron William s is
back and the Spurs are tired off last nights OT loss in Dallas...Blah,
Blah, Blah.... Take all that information and you get the odds makers
opening the Spurs -7.5. My point is that the market makers knew the
situation and still hung the number.
Apparently everyone in the
betting public has tonight's game all figured out, likely with one of
my above angles or maybe both. This is apparent by all of the afternoon
action that has the public now pounding the Jazz and moving the line to
as low as +4.
Here is my take on the game... Actually its not even a take...it is just a collection of indisputable facts....
A few weeks ago, on November 5th, Utah whipped the Spurs 113-99 on the Jazz home floor in a down right head scratch-er. That loss was the worst of the season for the Spurs. However, here is why it was shocking, second time in 40 regular-season
meetings Utah scored 100 points against the Spurs.
As
for tonight...well...Utah has yet to string back to back straight-up wins this
season. Consider this stat... Utah has dropped 20 straight game
straight-up in San
Antonio. This goes all the way back to Feb. 28, 1999 (which was
actually at the old Alamo Dome) Utah has NEVER won at the new AT&T
Center.
If
anyone watched last nights Jazz game it was really disturbing. After a
very good first half, the Jazz scored on 43 points in the 2nd half.
Thank goodness for them Raptors only mustered a pathetic 39. The game
was highlighted for me by the Jazz going 19-29 at the Free Throw line.
IMHO,
what we are seeing right now is a Jazz team in the twilight zone. They
actually were starting to play pretty well with Williams out of the
line-up... it was almost a situation where if it isn't broken don't fix
it...
I just can't see anyway to pass on the Spurs in a city where they have been nothing less then someones B**ch.
Spurs -4
GL!

I absolutely agree..... Its baffling to me why this spread keeps dropping..... williams, duncan, parker, David Robinson, John Stockton, iceman, ..... it doesn't matter who is or isn't on the floor tonight, the SPURS OWN THE JAZZ AT HOME......... I got it at spurs -5 and now it is -4 at some places.... that is a steal....
On a second note, the over is 9-1 the last 10 games the spurs have hosted the jazz.... The jazz do not play defence on the road.... yet the total keeps falling... and has now suddenly falled to 195.5......

I have the same side and the over as my only two games tonight. Let the baskets FLY!!
Two aging teams, both playing the 2nd half of a back to back. Neither team really runs, and both prefer to play clock eating 1/2 court sets. Spurs are a good defensive team. Always have been.
I think all that points towards an under.
