LA Lakers +4,at Denver Nuggets
The Lakers can be scary at times as they seem to be on
cruise control most of the season and only play at full potential when
the playoffs arrive. They have already been beaten on their home court
by Dallas and taken to O.T. on the road twice by inferior teams. Those
games were on the road so bettors also wonder if playing on the road is
going to be a weakness. I have to doubt that as the Lakers take their
divisional and conference games more seriously and realize they all
count toward the seedings come playoff time. I think it is very
opportunistic to take the best team in the NBA plus points, especially
when Nuggets backers have added a point to the opener of +3. The
Nuggets are playing a first game at home after a very disappointing
road trip (3-3 SU, 2-4 ATS) and have some difficulties to straighten
out themselves. The league is catching on to the "get Carmelo open on
every possession" strategy and is countering with "get someone in
Carmelo's face every possession." The Lakers have plenty of guys to do
that, in shifts if necessary. There is also the element that Kobe does
not appreciate his competitors for MVP being in the same game and
sharing the spotlight. Although not going head to head with Carmelo he
will contribute to the defense and probably play an outstanding game
himself. We won't get the Lakers +4 very often, so when opportunity
knocks, open the door. GL, Key

I will have very little college BB. Hard enough to keep up with the NBA daily if you do it thoroughly. Maybe a couple a week til conference season, maybe 4 a week after, I really don't know yet
