No, I didn't appear in either game for the Kings or Magic. By the way, Ice4Blood, why are you so obtuse?

Holy crap, you're right, Gtr1991! Great catch! That piece of GARBAGE Turkoglu helped fuck that game up, too! At the beginning of the 2nd quarter of that famous Derek Fisher "0.4" game in 2004, Turkoglu got fouled by Shaq and went to the line to shoot his only two free throws of the game. And guess what?
The Choking Turk......missed both!
Unbelievable!! That means that in three of the biggest Laker playoff road wins of the Kobe Bryant Era, Hedo Turkoglu played a key role in losing each game for three different teams!! He shot a total of 19 free throws in these three historic games and missed 10 of them! What a LOSER!!!
Oh, and speaking of losers, yours truly not only laid the points with the Spurs that night (for way too much money), but I also had the biggest bet of my life (at the time) on the Spurs -240 to win the series ($31,400). Fisher absolutely DESTROYED me with that sickening shot. To add insult to injury, the next day, I was on the phone with my mother, who knows nothing about basketball, and she actually asked me if I had seen that shot. I couldn't believe she was even aware of it, and I couldn't believe she had brought it up. At that moment, I was convinced that the Evil Lord Gamblore, who had tormented Homer Simpson for years, was not merely an imaginary character from a television cartoon but a very real and frightening, devious force.

The point of this thread was to highlight the fact that Hedo Turkoglu was involved in two of the most well known playoff meltdowns of this decade. Now the thread has been updated to reflect that Turkoglu played a key role in three of the most well known playoff meltdowns of this decade, with the Lakers benefitting in all three of them. This thread was not intended to rehash what happened the other night.
Hey, Ice4HighBloodPressure, why so........serious? Why don't you take your ham-handed arguments to the litany of other threads you've already dragged downward.

honestly... just don't see any point in these kinds of threads, except to bash someone who doesn't deserve bashing in a time when you are bitter about a bet gone wrong...
i have been against Orlando a number of times these playoffs... i am NOT a fan of Turkoglu... but i'll tell you this... the guy is CLUTCH! there is no way in hell Orlando would have even been close in that game if not for him... he has been big at big times...
Orlando is a YOUNG team... young teams do not win NBA championships against teams who have been down this road already... it just doesn't happen...
what you are calling a choke... i call coming of age... none of these guys have faced a pressure situation at this level before... but guys on the Lakers have...
so no... i don't see a choke job! i see the the usual course of events in the NBA...
Team A is hungry and experienced, having faced the disappointment of being here and going home as losers...
Team B is happy to be here, and is learning the hard way that being "happy to be here" is a quick ticket home...
you bet on the wrong team! because THAT (above) should have been obvious to anyone who has watched the NBA more than a few years...
how is this at all unpredictable to anyone? there is no way in hell Orlando was winning this series... NONE! period! no way was LA going to allow that disappointment to set in 2 years in a row!
Orlando will have other chances... but they didn't realistically have a chance this year...

That's because you have no sense of humor. None. I should have included some smiley faces so maybe people like you with high blood pressure would realize I started this thread with tongue-in-cheek, and not in a boiling rage.

I went out and bet the Magic -2.5 -110 today at the Palms, Wynn, and the Hard Rock.

Stop betting against them? No way! Inspite of the three losses I've made light of in this thread, I've made money every year betting against the Lakers in the playoffs. It's easy because their lines are always skewed to fuck the public. In this playoff season I'm 7-5 going against them and 3-0 going with them.
I mentioned up above how Fisher buried me in that San Antonio series in 2004, but I didn't mention how I got that money back plus a lot more by unloading on the Detroit Pistons in every game of the NBA Finals (not so much on Game 1 but heavy after that).

That's a point well taken. ![]()
I'm praying that goof can limit himself to giving away just one game per series.
