Playing on the Knicks & Celtics UNDER 207.5
According to the New York Time "Kinck's Dream Week ends tonight." They are referring to the Broadway style scheduling that has consecutively brought the Lakers, Cavs and Celtics to Madison Square Garden all in a row.
We all saw what happened the first two night s of the show, satrring Kobe (63 pts) and Lebron (52 points) but tonight I wouldn't be too quick to grab the kid]dies and the camera and head to the game
This is a rivalary game, and th Knicks and fans will certainly be on their worst behavior tonight for the Celtics that they despise so much . (Nothing brings out the worst in New Yorkers more then a team from Boston.)
As far as the actuall game and angles, I really think that this a perfect spot to snag the UNDER. A quick peek at the Celtics history shows a signifigant drop off in thier overall poinst for and against when playing the 2nd half of a back to back. Since March of 2008, the Celtics have played 17 back to back situations, 14 of them have gone UNDER the total. In fact if you include Boston & their opponent in these situations...only 5 times over the 17 game span did either the Celtics or the opposition score more then 100 points in a game. (To make matters more intersting 2 of the 5 times this happened were when the Celtics played the Raptors earilier this year and it went OVERTIME.) If we throw out that overtime game and just deal in regulation games, just 3 times out of 16 games did either the Celtics or thier opponent score over a 100 in this situation.
The Celtics on they yaer are averaging 101 points for per game and 91 against (a total of 192), however in back to back situations their averages drop substantialy to an eye popping 93 points for nad 84 against (177 points). Thats a 24 point drop off.
Now we can pile all this data onto the fact the the Knicks crown is not going to be thier for autgraphs and "star gazing" tonight as the Daily News called it, tonight its back to drunken heckiling of a hated Boston Rival, a war.
This won''t suit a Boston team well that is off an extremely physical OT loss to the Lakers on national TV and also on the heels of a buzzer beating shot versus the 76ers the game before that. Remeber the last time the Celtics played the Lakers on Christmas the very next day the played at run and gun @ Golden State L 89-99. Or the day after the Wizards on Dec. 12 New Orleans W 94-82 , or the Day after Philly on Nov. 29th @ Charlotte W 89-84, etc...
Tonight I lok for the Celtics to do what they always do in back to back situation, slow it down and play tight. The Knicks stirve for defensive redemption in a rivalry situation. It goes way UNDER 207.5.
Play the Knicks/Celtics UNDER 207.5
