They needed Arenas to make the playoffs. Without him, they wouldn't have had the record that they had to hold them up for the playoffs. Agent Zero is clutch. An easy schedule down the stretch helped them as well (this is all from memory). I live in the DC area and the Wizards are somewhat my team.
They stink without Arenas. Missing Haywood is just another bonus for them to stink. I can't believe they got rid of Larry Hughes. Big mistake. Butler was a good pickup for Brown. The Lakers were dumb to trade for him. Gasol for Brown was a coup for the Lakers.
Man, Kwame sure made it around the league and a lot of good players were given up for that piece of junk. What a waste of a 1st pick.

When Arenas is in the floor, the Wiz setup a style of play that has not worked for them in the past, meaning, they have not achieved their full team potential. Without Arenas, every player contributed in ways they would have never been able to had he been in the team. The Wiz were actually better without Arenas.
