iused to think that serious face meant business, now it seems to mean nothing, he doesn't seem to have any heart in his fights. Like you need to actually try to knock these guys out to win. It gets to a point where if your going to lose unless you knock the guy out you should be throwing everything you have at the guy to try and do it, instead of waiting.

I told everyone this on the boards in the thread below back in April before he fought Gonzaga and I don't consider myself to be much more than a casual MMA fan.
Are you real high on Cro Cop? I know that he has stopped a lot of
elite MMA guys, but whenever he has gotten close to reigning at the top
he has gotten beaten himself. I watched him get KO'd by Randleman
again the other day.

Cro Cop doesnt do well whne the fighter comes to him. He is a fighter that likes/has to move forward. He controlled the 1st round...he was moving forward. Then the 2nd and 3rd round he was dominated becauses Kongo finally pressed the action. It is sad that CC has fallen from the elite.

Agree with the last post. Miro looked like absolute crap last night. I've only seen a couple of his Pride fights, but now that he's here I don't see anything to like. If he can press the action and have a chance to kick the opponent in the head for a KO, he's alright. If not, forget about it. Absolutely worhtless. I'm not sure where he goes from here. I don't think he can win against a big name oppenent. Not sure what he can do. Definitely not somebody I'm buying a PPV to watch.

Agreed CroCop's UFC career has been a huge dissapointment. But the hype was expected and deserved. if you had watched his career you would know why the expectations in for him in UFC were so high. I have seen every match of his pro career. From K1 to Pride to UFC. He is capable of being the best fighter in the sport. He has the ability. I have no idea what is wrong with him. I have never seen him fight so sloppy as he has lately. Possibly a Psychological issue? Either way. Cro Cop broke a rib in the 1st round. He said that is why he didnt engage the next 2 rounds.
Regardless of what happened, he needds to (re)think what he wants to do with his career. When he signed with the UFC, he immediatley stated that he is going to fight the 5 fights on his contract and retire. Maybe he already retired.

You're making yourself look foolish to anybody who has followed this sport for some time. Crocop has had over 50 professional kickboxing and mma fights in his career and has beat and faced the best. If you have seen any of these fights you would know he is capable and is one of the top fighters. Some of the things being said here make me thing some of you first heard about this guy months ago when he signed with the UFC.
Mullinsky, yes you need to try to knock the guy out. Crocop is one of the best at it, but you obviously do not know his fighting style. He is not a brawler and going to go in throwing wild punches and kicks. He is a very precise and accurate counterstriker. Maybe you're a fan of tank abbot. I dont know but it wouldnt surprise me. Also, it is hard to be aggressive (or be anything for that matter) when you are trying to fight with a rib injury and having being kneed in the groin multiple times.
Fullbrights, one year ago he won the Pride OWGP by beating W.silva and Barnett inthe same night. Can't get much higher than that.
That being said, he did lose the fight and looked less than interested in his previous two fights. I don't know what it is... old age, no motivation, lost his fighting spirit, family issues, etc but he is at a crossroads and maybe this is it.
