Cormier/Mir - I give Mir a puncher's chance, and that doesn't bode well for him cuz his stand up is not great. It's not horrible either. No one will be able to take Cormier down, and he will be able to take anyone he wants down IMO. I'm not sure if Cormier's chin has really been tested yet, but he should have a pretty fresh melon having just started MMA. So Cormier at 34 does not show his age like a lot of mid 30's fighters may. Henderson/Melendez - To me, these guys are VERY similar but Henderson's wrestling may be a little better and he may be a little bigger. Henderson by decision. I could see this being a snooze fest along the cage for 5 rounds. I hope I'm wrong.
Thompson/Diaz - Diaz's kryptonite is getting planted on his back, and I think Josh can do that. No prediction yet, but the underdog could be the play here. I also think he's saavy enough that he won't easily get subbed by Diaz.
Brown/Mein - once again a big test for Mein. Brown has improved at an amazing pace. Mein, the young stud can vault up the rankings if he can finish Miller and Brown in one month. leaning Brown
Larkin/Carmont - lean Carmont
Mendes/Elkins - Mendes has to be a huge fav - As much as I like what Elkins has been doing, Mendes is a solid #2. He's faster, prob stronger, prob has better wrestling
