Who is your steal of the draft?

Has to be projected 2nd round or higher. Mine is the fastest RB in the draft and the guy only fumbled once all year.

Nice choice. I'm still kind of stuck on Jonathan Stewart though. Think he falls into a great situation.

Chad Henne in the second round will be a steal. I think this guys going to have a very successful pro career. Joe Flacco is another QB that has not been talked about, but will have a good NFL career.

I really like Xavier Adibi and I'm hoping he slips to Minnesota in the 3rd round (although we don't really need a LB).

Justin King is another guy that I think could do very well at the next level. He will probably be a early-mid second round pick.

I also don't really like Chris Johnson. He was great in the bowl game against Boise St (I think that's who they played?), but I'm not sure he's going to be anything more than a kick returner in the NFL. He has speed and there's always a place for that on a football team, but I'm not convinced he has much more than that. If I remember correctly that one fumble came in the final minutes in the bowl game and he almost cost his team the win.

Shouldn't this thread be started after the draft? Wouldn't a "steal" be determined by comparing a guy's value to where he is actually taken?

I think Jonathan Stewart is going to be an absolute stud. The Texans would be wise to take him at #18

Forgot about Ray Rice. He'll be a steal. If Maurice Jones-Drew could succeed, I don't see why Rice wouldn't. He's a much better back in my opinion.

Jones-Drew is much faster and stronger than Rice. I really can't see Rice doing anything in the NFL. I would say Hart is a better prospect, but I don't see him being anything more than a decent backup either.

wct - rice isnt as quick as jones drew

he is built like Stephen Jackson but not as tall...the circumference of his upper legs would probably match a hot chick's waist

he is deceptively quick...can hide behind o linemen and dart through a hole (emmitt smith style) for a quick 5 yards

not comparing him to either runner...just trying to illustrate a point. i also have no idea what pro scouts think of him. he did run for more yards in big games, took 40 in a few this year

Half the people in this post can't read, I'm pretty sure he said "PROJECTED 2nd round or higher"  yet people are saying Felix Jones, Jonathan Stewart...guys that are middle to late 1st round projections...unless McShay and Kiper don't know what they are talking about.

I don't think you're comprehending what 2nd round or higher means. The only round higher than the 2nd is the 1st. Personally I'm with you...I think the question should have read 2nd round or lower or 2nd round and later. It wasn't though so I answered.

I agree, Rice isn't as fast as Drew, but Drew was just above average in college. Nothing spectacular. He's definitely helped squash the myth that small backs like them can't succeed. But I just think Rice is going to be a better "running back."  But he needs to be on the right team/system.

since when is 1 higher than 2? he wasn't specific enough to say whether SOONER or LATER or BEFORE or AFTER but for you to decide that higher = earlier is absurd as well. I still think he meant 2nd or later, why in the hell would he call this thread "steal of the draft" and limit your choices to the first two rounds? that's idiotic.

Most people that followed college ball would know who he is. He was a great college player, but unless someone shows extraordinary skills and is a prototype football player, I'm not sold on them coming out of a non-BCS school where they play much weaker competition every weak. That is the same reason Kevin Smith is not considered a high draft pick.

question has tulane ever had more than 1 good player at a time? seems they always have 1 dude that gets talked about and the rest of the team is putrid. even back on their 11-0 team, the only player i remember is shaun king

Kregg Lumpkin- hurt 2 years ago and along came Thomas Brown and a kid named Knowshon Moreno. He has great size and showed he is durable when healthy. He reminds me alot of Patrick Pass who has been with the Patriots.
 
Thomas Brown- Warrick Dunn style back who could be a hugh asset to someone for a 3rd dwn back. He has great hands and can pass block like a fullback.
 
I am sure the falcons will pass on both even in last round if available.

Brian Brohm from Louisville will be the steal of the draft if he falls to the 2nd round. To all the teams that pass on him on Saturday he will be passing on you on Sunday's for years to come.

Chase the greatest fkn Wide receiver that you have ever seen came out of a small fkn college, so don't ever say your not sold.
