Getting Franklin was a fuckinn steal in the 4th.......he'll be the man in GB, not Lacy.

Franklin was expected to be a mid-round selection, so he went pretty much where the draft experts expected him to.  Now whether the experts undervalued him coming into the draft is another question.

Lacey and Franklin are different type of backs.  Franklin's skill set is closer to what modern pass-happy NFL teams are looking for - a good receiver out of the backfield with blazing speed.  He's very similar to someone like Darren Sproles at New Orleans.  Lacey, on the other hand, is a bruiser who is slow by running back standards.  I tend to agree with you that Franklin's skill set is probably a better fit for the Green Bay offense, and therefore may end up being the more successful of the two.

I root for Michigan State (married a Spartan) and I don't see how Bell got drafted ahead of Lacy. I don't know if Lacy was much of a pass catcher for 'Bama, but the Tide offense wasn't built for dinking and dunking. This was a steal for Packers. I know they throw a lot (which is the way the NFL is headed), but you need to run clock when you're up by 20, right?

I had Franklin projected as early 3rd, so him dropping that far is a steal.........maybe not a @%*# steal, but a steal nonetheless. He could end up being one of the best rb's of this class.

I think the 2 will complement each other very nicely

Having them both is the best situation for GB to win games

Fantasy outlook looks damp as it will most likely be RBC
