He, at one time, was projected as a Top 3 pick.  Why did he fall?  On the surface, it looks like the Steelers got a steal.  What gives?

had a bad 40 time at combine, but who cares? he led the nation in sacks and is a monster and will be better than James Harrison ever was. perfect fit for their defense. He also has somethin called spinal stenosis which is a narrowing of the spine over time, but should not affect him until he is in his mid 30's, some were worried about his longevity because of this condition, but I highly doubt it will matter since most players careers are just about over at that age anyways. just hope to get 6 or 7 good years outta him.  Talk about replacing your needs. he replaces harrison and then they replace mendenhall and wallace with bell and wheaton today. Wheaton has wallace like speed and Bell is an all around back probably better than Mendenhall ever was. great draft so far for Pitt.  Can't wait to see if they can get a good safety in rd4, hopefully Rambo from GA.

As a Steelers fan, we are glad to have him!

I do think the Steelers got a bargain, not least because they're just soooo good at picking for need. If they do their usual thing of not rushing him into the starting line up then he's a banker of a pick.
