I heard the same exchange in the Kansas game last night... I disagree. I think he "scoffed" when asked about the -4 because he was not going to go there... talk about covering the spread. I could be wrong. Bottom line is that if you think SF or any team will win, you should ignore the small spread to some degree - or just bet the ML. I can never and I will never bet a small dog thinking they will cover and not win. Musberger is no fool, he has been betting for a long time. That does not make his opinion any better than yours or mine... but I do think in his mind that SF gets the win and the cover.
