what you guys think...with all the stink about making it more competitive or cancelling it...do we get something that resembles a little something like a normal NFL game? I say yes...big dose of AP to milk a little clock maybe? GL

lol...yes Dad. You know if you look at the scores from the last 30+ years it went over 85 3 times. Ok that is probably not fair, let's take last 5 years points scored... 2008 72 2009 51 2010 75 2011 96 2012 100
I would not bet a lot, it is the Pro-Bowl after all, BUT you don't think with the stink RG made about the last one that they may have a more "realistic" looking game/outcome? Just a thought. Couple that with no Rodgers, insert Eli..there are some points gone. No Brady, insert Luck, again another drop off. Then AP coming off a near historic year, you don't think we get some heavy running in? Not trying to change anyone's mind, just wondering if you can change mine. GL to ALL!

i've played the over the last 2 years in those ridiculous games... but OBVIOUSLY at this number you play the under or nothing...
Tony already started to post what i already know... the last 2 years are anomolous, if you look at the history of this game... even just over the last 10 years... you just don't get many of these games going over 85 points... and if there is any motivation towards creating a better game, i would expect there to actually be a little defense... which has not been the case at all the last 2 years...

i will most likely not bet it... but just to take a contrasting point of view...
in the last 10 Pro Bowls, the game has gone over 85 just 3 times... but along the lines of your thinking, if you had bet the over all 10 times at the current number... aside from being 3-7... on 4 of those occasions, you would have missed by 3 TDs... on 3 of those, you miss by 4 TD... on 2 of them, you miss by 5 TDs, and on 1 you miss by almost 7 TDs...
just 7 years ago, the score of this game was 23-17... you say it sucks to lose an under bet in an allstar game... all i'm saying is, it sucks to lose any bet by 7 TDs in an allstar game... or even 3 TDs... because it pretty much means your bet is dead by halftime, or earlier... that's no fun!

The rules of the game haven't changed, so do you think talk about discontinuing the game will keep it under? Don't waste your money on this game.
First of all Tony, thanks for getting the conversation rolling on this game. People like Steel here just don't see the opportunity in front of them. I'm guessing he want's to see a competitive football game, and I just want to win MONEY.
Last year I couldn't get enough money on the over with this game. In fact, my local limited it. My only dumb bet was taking the NFC at -5 or something. Cam A s s face could have helped me, but he decided to be a showoff and throw picks and fumble away his time in the limelight. Ugh!
Point is, this game used to be FREE MONEY. Now, as you pointed out Tony, RG said he's embarrassed, and promise's he won't let his product take the field if it's going to look anything like last year. So with the threat of canceling this game, what are the players going to do?
Used to be an automatic over, but what do you guys think about it this year? This is the first time I ever had to stop and think about weather or not this is an over play or not.
Thanks Tony, and anyone else giving there thoughts on this game.

I agree with the Under. Put 2 u on it at 85 mainly because I'll be there and see no value in a side. I think u hit it dead on with all the stuff in the media. Bottom line is the winning team can score 6 TD and u win the bet. 42 points on the winning side and its in the bag? That's a pretty good shot especially with the RBs that are on the roster. I suspect we'll see more running in this game from past ones. Good luck

tony you make some good points as i do recall Goodell talking about changes for the pro bowl .. but when you think about it ..this is still an exhibition game that is for the fans .. the MLB all star game now that is totally different as the winner gets HFA for the world series ..i am always on the under for MLB all star game ... NFL NBA NHL all star games? I GO ALL IN ON THE OVER! and have made some nice coin using this strategy the last few years on these all star games ...the most important thing for the players in these games is to not get injured .. defense is always non existent and teams can score at will ... the number 85 is the highest it has ever been and Goodell did say there will be some changes so we shall see how that plays out .. i still feel it should be over 85 or no play ... BOL

The important thing is it seems like we are all smart enough to know not to bet too much on this pathetic game. GL if you do though. I am going small on under.

I think the edict to make the games realistic makes a difference. The under seems like a solid opportunity. I agree it's a bs game and its no fun to root under but ill probably do an open ended parley of the probowl and bet the an if I win

I agree completely, the game has become a big joke now, the NFL wants "some" respectability in the game after the fiascos the previous couple years, the "all-stars" don't want to see their free vacation in Hawaii taken away from them.
Placed an SMALL under wager myself based on those thoughts yesterday, got it at 85 and I think the total will drop even more now that some of the players and Godell are coming out saying they need to make it more competitive in order for it to continue
Gotta go pee!

yea this game looks like it isn't going to break 70, let alone 80... in fact, don't be shocked if it's under 60... people betting the over right now have no idea what they're doing...

Cooler, I did the same last year and you just reminded me why I still hate Cam, hahaha. I was so mad at him for that game.

This is an all-start game. Its suppose to be a joke. No one cares if they play seriously or not. Its not suppose to be serious. No one, including the players should take this game seriously. That being said....the play is OVER guys, ive been banking on this play the past probowls.. same for NBA's allstar game
