stat: nfc/afc championships

Since 1996 ,playoff teams who scored 40+ pts the previous week are 3-20 ats the following week.This would apply to niner's and pat's this week. Just somethin i thought i'd throw out there to everyone. BOL

I just heard the same thing from Marc Lawrence on the radio.. That guy is ALL about trends! Lol

He threw this one out there too... The past 6 years in a row, The team who represented the NFC in the Super Bowl, played against the AFC East during the regular season... The 49ers played the AFC East this season, and would make it 7 years in a row if they beat ATL..

Trends are what they are... But, the one you mentioned seems to have a little substance, & is a bit worrisome for some backing the Niners or Pats.. More so the 49ers, who are 0-2 this season, after scoring 40+ (combined score in those two games: 68-16). Pats are 4-1 this season after scoring 40+ in a game.. Then again, those results don't really pertain to what you stated, because we're talking playoffs.
