AFC teams are set, just not the seedings.
NFC has 2 spots remaining with 5 teams fighting for the last spot.
Let's start off with the AFC. What we know is that Colts and Bengals are LOCKED into the #5 and #6 no matter what. You would expect the starters to sit or play a half at best.
Texans -4.5 @ Colts
Colts have no interest in this game since they are set on playing the AFC #4 seed. Texans however are playing to have home field throughout. I'd be surprised to see Luck after halftime or at most past midway 3Q. Texans -4.5
Ravens @ Bengals -3.5
Ravens will be #3 or 4, Bengals locked in at #6. Both teams won't have interest. Fade team that beat Steelers prior week in effect possibly. Tyrod Taylor vs Bruce Gradkowski. Ravens +3.5
NFC. Falcons are #1 seed. Packers, 49ers, Seahawks are in the playoffs. Everything else is still to be determined.
Eagles @ Giants -9.5
Giants have a long shot chance to get in needing Cowboys, Bears, and Vikings all to lose. They'll take care of business at home and keep their slim hopes alive. Giants -9.5
Bears -3 @ Lions
Bears get in with win and Vikings loss. We all saw Falcons v Lions. Charles Peanut Tillman is one of the best corners in the league right now. Megatron gets 2k receiving yards in the usual losing effort. Bears -3.
Those are the early games.
AFC, what we will now then is that Texans will be #1 seed, Colts #5 and Bengals #6. Ravens will be either #3 or 4 depending on if the Patriots win or lose.
NFC, Giants are out with the Bears winning. Bears still alive.
Now onto the afternoon games.
Chiefs @ Broncos -16.5
Broncos clinch #2 seed and first round bye with win. The Sheriff is a rout, this isn't Arrowhead. Broncos -16.5.
Dolphins @ Patriots -10.5
Patriots will get the #2 with win and loss by Broncos. Dolphins always play Patriots tough and Dolphins will be playing for a 8-8 season instead of 7-9. Patriots look at scoreboard and see Broncos blowing out Chiefs and take out Brady and company in 2nd half (but with the Patriots, you never know). Wouldn't be surprised if Brady played the whole game even if they saw the the Broncos winning in a blowout. Dolphins +10.5
AFC - 1. Texans, 2. Broncos, 3/4 - Patriots/Ravens. 5 Colts. 6 Bengals.
Cardinals @ 49ers -15
49ers still need win to clinch division and possible chance at #2 seed. 49ers wake up after a loss like they usually do. We'll see Alex Smith in the 4Q with the 49ers up big. 49ers -15
Rams @ Seahawks -10.5
Seahawks need win and 49ers loss to win division. Seahawks know the 49ers aren't going to lose and go the 2nd string after half. In the fade team who blows someone out on primetime situation, also a team who has had 3 straight blowout wins. Unless Carroll announces that he's going to rest some players, everyone will be on Seahawks. Rams fighting for 8-7-1 season rather than 7-8-1. Rams +10.5
Packers -3 @ Vikings
Packers need win to get #2 seed. Vikings need win to get into playoffs. Nothing here to say but UPSET! More times than not, bet the small home dog. Vikings +3, I think they win straight up.
Cowboys @ Redskins -3.5
Cowboys win and they're in. Redskins in with win or losses by Bears and Vikings earlier in the day. If the Bears and Vikings both lose, big bet on Cowboys +3.5. I think Redskins will lose some focus and won't have much urgency. However, don't think Bears and Vikings both lose, so with that said. Divisional game for the NFC East and playoff spot. Are the Cowboys/Romo going to choke? Probably but hopefully not by more than 3 points. Miracle end to season for Redskins falls short of making playoffs. Cowboys +3.5, think they win straight up.
NFC - 1. Falcons. 2. 49ers. 3. Packers. 4. Cowboys. 5. Seahawks. 6. Vikings.
Texans -4.5
Ravens +3.5
Giants -9.5
Bears -3
Broncos -16.5
Dolphins +10.5
49ers -15
Rams +10.5
Cowboys +3.5
13 pt teaser. Texans, Broncos, 49ers, and (either panthers/saints over, or saints, or rams or cowboys)
Nothing locked in yet, this just reminder of thoughts with Xmas tomorrow and Bowl games.
