Wasn&#x27;t it last year about this time that Houston was looking good to go deep into the playoffs ....then their QB got knocked out for the year? &#xD;&#xA;With a 2 game lead for the top seed and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, [ with Minn. and Indi twice left to play ], I think that if Schaub gets hit or sacked a couple of times ......Him and other key players will get yanked. &#xD;&#xA;They don&#x27;t want to see a repeat of last year.

Injuries happen and fluke injuries happen.  They are gonna play regardless.  History proves that.   &#xD;&#xA;You can say the same thing about any playoff bound team.

[/Quote]that is quite possibly the craziest handicapping analysis i have ever heard...the very thought that Houston could be in a 3 pt game in the 4th quarter, and they will suddenly bench Matt Schaub... is just ludicrous!  what the hell?

if Houston wins this game, they would practically wrap up homefield advantage for the playoffs, with 3 games to go in the playoffs... THEN they can rest up players...

BUT, if they don't win this game, they only have a 1/2 game lead over the Pats (since the Pats would have the tie-breaker advantage), and only a 2 game lead over the Broncos... so they would spend the last 3 weeks locked in a fight just to get a bye for the playoffs...

this is a very important game for Houston, at this point of this season... they can't just disregard it as if it means nothing to them... cuz if they can't win this game in Foxboro tonight, it means they will probably have to win there in January if they want to get to the Super Bowl...

i already took Hou (&#x2B;4.5)... but the more i think about it, the more the ML looks like the best play... Patriots resume:  - playoff caliber opponents:  2-2- cellar-dwellers:  6-1Texans resume:- playoff caliber opponents:  4-1- cellar-dwellers:  6-0Houston has wins @ Denver and @ Chicago, so they can win on the road... i feel pretty strongly that you are getting the better team, and either getting 5 points, or getting &#x2B;300 or so on the ML... can&#x27;t really pass that up...

&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Texans fan here....agree&#xD;&#xA;This game is just as big for the Texans...this game defined their season. They do want to rest their players on the last leg of this season for the playoffs.

Anybody talking about yanking players is just absurd. The only WAY players get pulled is by a complete blowout by one team or the other. And they way both teams can score it will have to be a 40 point lead so do not expect any pullings or yanking of players. That is probably the worst capping strategy on the planet.
